We came here on 29.11.2021. Just a few minutes away from Dovetail. Small place with a few good beers. Unfortunately another place with plastic cups. Really hope this bullshit is stopping soon. The hazy IPA we had was good.

A good sized first floor space with a bit of an industrial feel. The upstairs was open as well which felt like a bare bones event space. They had a few lawn games up there. Service was fine. Beers were ok but 12 on tap and flights available. No food on site but they appear to have food trucks. Prices were inline with the area. Nothing too special.

Stopped by the brewery while on vacation in Chicago (going to see the Cubs vs. Blue Jays). Brewery is set in an older factory/industrial type building. Bar was pretty standard (a little short actually). Seating was crampt, and not enough tables/chairs provided. To Begyle’s defense it was a pact house, and a busy time to be in Chi Town. Staff was very helpful. We told him IPA’s and other hoppy beers are not our favorite, and he provided a flight to our taste. He also allowed us to mix and match beers for purchase as long as they were the same size. Overall I was glad to visit, but the taproom was not enough to make me want to visit again. We did however meet some very friendly locals (John and Larry) that were more then happy to give their take on "Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza" and tourist attractions. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Open clean and newly painted garage space. July 4th 201, open and full, 30-40 people and not a ton of open seating, quite popular on the holiday. Came at the recommendation of one of the servers at Half Acre, which is a quick 10 minute walk. They have ten taps, though one was out when I came. 5 ounce pours are available in groups of up to 3 at a time, making it possible to try everything without killing yourself or leaving much beer on the table. Crowd seemed young and local, which makes sense as this seems to be a new place and has a neighborhood feel to it. There was a beer tour bus out front, so some of the crowd left together. I wonder where they went. Could I hop on the bus too? Prices were very good for sampling, and probably even better if you live down the street and plan on stumbling home. Seem to have a small barrel aging program going on already which is awesome to see in a newer place. Some bottles available, as well as growlers. Right by the L, so the building picks up some lovely train noise every few minutes.

This taproom is in a warehouse space very convenient to the rail. The interior is pretty spartan but they’ve got arguably the best skeeball machine I’ve ever played on. There is no bar, just tables. Unusual, but ultimately unconsequential. I had a coffee stout. Not too bad.

Great concrete minimalist growler station + gift shop though they are in the process of putting in a tap room for people to drink in. The atmosphere really made me think of 33 Acres in Vancouver which is a good thing as I really liked that place. The staff was friendly and happy to explain all the beers and offer us samples. 2$ off bombers on Tuesdays when we went and I believe discounts on 32 oz growlers on Wednesday. Quite a large selection of 12 taps though maybe 4 were sold out when we went by - 8 were regulars and 4 were seasonals on a small board. A cool place to pop in and try some free samples + pick up a bomber then walk over to the nearby Half Acre. Plus it is 2 min from Irving Park Brown line Station so easy to get to.

To clear up the previous review, this isn’t a tap room. Its a brewery where you can pick up a couple bottles, kegs and growler fills. It is a nice clean space, plenty of parking. Nice schwag, lots of glass options if you’re into that. They have 8 beers on tap. But 3 were out, come on, poor form. They do 32oz, 64oz, and 2l growlers with plenty of free tasters. Bottles are what you can get around the city. Its a nice spot but I can’t imagine the need to come here unless you want to get a keg. Not really necessary for them to open this up.
