70 Despite giving it a somehwat low score I do love this place. The score is low because of their limited beer selection and lack of food. But these things are not really a problem since the few beers they usually do have are frigging awesome! Also, you are welcome to bring your own food and there is a pretty decent taco place just off to the side. My one real problem was that I was mostly stopping in to stock up on cans of one of my favorite beers on my way home from Maine on a Sunday and was told that they do not sell cans or any other beer to go on Sunday! Had to console myself with a quick pint and be on my way. |
28 Just a little outside the centre of Portland, I was expecting good things about this place. Only 5 beers on tap, all hoppy stuff that I wanted to try. But...no flights and no small pours, only 12 and 16 oz pours. When I asked why they don’t do small pours, the woman serving said that it’s their policy and that they think you cannot adequately sample a beer without a 12 oz pour - demonstrable bullshit. Their policy means I didn’t spend any money here and they lose people like me from supporting them. Solid beers, but their lame policy means I won’t give them business. Not impressed. |
70 Ner a coach station. Lots of parking. Big space, front end of the production brewery. All picnic tables. Long serving bar with a ell organized queue. Taco place integrated into the brewpub. Two five ounce pours is your limit (at a time) due to stupid local beer laws. Beers were tasty but too many NE IPAs. |
86 Pretty cool place. We went at end of a Swish day so didn't experience the madness but got to wait in a little line for draft. Great tap selection, didn't ask any questions. Cool drinking right near the brewing equipment. Beer is outstanding and not well distributed. Definitely worth a visit. Prices high-ish but getting pretty standard. |
80 Nice brewery tap room with a view into the brewery. Decently sized, good vibe, nice staff. Beer is good, of course. No cans when we came but tap selection was good. |
76 In here in June 2016. Big open space in what looks to be an up and coming big industrial and retail park. At a bit before 3 on a Friday afternoon, you can spot it from the parking lot due to the people drinking in the cordoned off space out front (which is helpful since there’s no big sign to speak of). Huge open space inside with enough seating to probably fit 100 people or more relatively comfortably given the huge open space plus the upstairs seating. There’s communal seating inside on the ground and upstairs levels, plus a bunch of smaller spaces which seem designed for 2-4 people. Food truck outside, as well as a big enough patio space to accommodate another 30 or so people. Well lit with some open lighting spots built into the ceiling. Concrete floors, while ceilings, with a lot of color on the walls. 6 beers on tap while I was here, with what looked to be 5 things crossed off, so maybe they plan on having more beers on eventually and haven’t ramped up supply to meet the demand of the new space (open 3.5 weeks apparently when I was here at the end of June 2016). One of the beers was available to go in cans, with a limit of 12 cans per person. Based on the space and the atmosphere, it’s worth coming here if you don’t have to do a lot to get here. However, the styles ranged from hoppy blonde to session IPA to IPA...to I guess, IPA with ginger. So, pretty much one style with variations. If you’re down with that, it’s a nice stop.

86 Was looking forward to this place since I’d tried a few of their things prior to actually visiting. They were doing a can release the day we visited, so the crowd at opening was pretty big. Luckily, people here are civilized and show up like no more than an hour before the brewery opens and not some bullshit camping out overnight. I showed up maybe 20 minutes before they opened and felt like an idiot because I was probably the 30th person in line at worst.
This is their new location. It’s a good sized warehouse with some other businesses in adjoining suites (like a chicken place next door) and the Cryptozoology Museum (think Bigfoot). Seems like there will be more going on here in the future. They very efficiently move people through the lines for both cans and draft, including having lines for just one or the other. They had about a half dozen beers on during our stop. Mostly hoppy stuff and all pretty good. I did find it kind of laughable, though, that EVERYTHING was in the super milky/hazy style. Like, even their amber ale looked like curdled milk. Some limits to how much you can order at once, but it does help the line move. Only 5 and 10 ounce pours, it seems. Decent prices on everything. Solid brewery, well run operation, and making some good stuff. If you want to avoid any sort of real crowd, just show up after the initial can rush or on days when they’re not releasing anything crazy. |
86 For a warehouse type brewery, this one was quite okay. They had a half dozen on draft (including Swish!) at $2 per taster. Appeared as if there were a few food options nearby to bring in. Very efficient and friendly, and of course, great beer. |
76 Visited February 2016 in the previous location. So there is no sense to write more but I have to just say that their beers were great and it was fun. |
82 Warehouse brewery located in an industrial park. Nice, bright space with a decent outdoor patio. They had 10-12 on tap with an emphasis on hoppy beers. They ranged from solid to good. Nice vibe to the place. It’s a pretty solid visit though I don’t know if it really stands out compared to a lot of other places. |
