84 In a veritable beer cave in a creepy back alley in Marrickville lies one of the best beer joints around. Very rarely open, so you need to plan ahead to book your "ticket to tick it". Once you're there, you have 12 great taps to choose from. They only do large pours (250 ml I think, 150 ml for the really heavy stuff), so if you can tick 'em all in one sitting, you are a better beer ticker than me. I crushed 8 of them then ran out of time to do more, which in the end was probably for the better. I bought some bottles instead and domed one on the ground in a nearby park, before lying down and watching the sky spin. Probably about 10 bottles available, many non-overlapping with their taps. Been spending most our lives living in a ticker's paradise. Service is chill and solid. No food to gruffle down with your beer. You're here to tick. Stay focused, chief! You can pop over to Marrickville Pork Roll later. You're welcome for the tip.
One complaint: THEY NEED WI-FI FOR LIVE TICKING!!! The cell signal sucks down there. The lack of ability to load RB-InBev or Untappd was frustrating AF. |
88 Down a back street in Marrickville, feels like being in someone's back garage with a great selection of 12 interesting beers on tap. Friendly staff. Quality of the beers was impressive, highly recommended. |
80 Small cramped space with a range of seating options. Great selection of beers. They don't seem to do anything particularly traditional or dull. No pale lager or pale ale here. I think four imperial stouts, a quadrupel and a barley wine on my visit. Only one size of pour available for each beer, though you can get a small discount on a flight of four. If I had had more time I would have happily gone through all twelve taps but wanting to visit other breweries in the area curtailed that. My favourite of the Inner West Sydney breweries. |
