Border occupies a small storefront between Double Shift and a Latin restaurant, across the street from iTap. The place is cozy and inviting, and two bartenders were holding down the fort when I went shortly before closing on a Saturday. There are 10 taps, about half IPAs when I went. The beers were below average, but inexpensive. There was at least one bottle available to go, along with growlers and merch. It's okay, but if you don't have time to hit more than a few, I would make this your lowest priority of the cluster of breweries in the Crossroads.

Excellent beer creating one of our favorite hole in the wall breweries. Check it out: https://ynda.wordpress.com/2016/05/30/border-brewing-co/

A small taproom with some really cool people and a tasty brew. Expect this place to really kill it as they continue to grow. Had a blast. Can’t wait to come back!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Not very busy. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable, but selection was small. Four beers on tap and two mixed selections. Beer tasted fine, glad to have another brewery in Kansas City. Sure they will grow.

Visited late afternoon on a Wednesday. Easy to find near the corner of Oak and 18th. Parking is primarily street parking, though on weekends may need to do one of the lots scattered around the area. The tasting room is small, a handful of high top tables and a bar with maybe 8 stools. The place was more or less full when I visited, and it felt comfortable and not cramped, so the space is managed well. 5 house beers on tap, available in 12 or 16 oz pour ($5), 4 oz taster ($2), flight of 4 x 4 oz tasters ($6) or 64 oz growler ($14/$18). Many people were ordering the flights, which slowed service down some. This improved quite a bit when a second server came on board at 5pm. Friendly place with solid beers, a welcome addition to the local scene.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.
