Brauerei Fässla

Visited in the early evening. We were seated in the small biergarten, but in normal circumstances there seem to be plenty of room to seat inside. We were seated next to the friendly local. Smoking is allowed in the biergarten which wasn't a plus for us. Beer selection was limited to two beer neither of which was particularly good. One of the classics in Bamberg I guess, but wasn't that thrilled.

Visited in August 2019 on a 5-day Bamberg and surroundings trip with Caesar. Enjoyed the place, good beers, but a small place to sit outside only.

Excellent location nearby Die Bierothek and Spezial. Old picturesque building. Brown wooden interior. Their own beers, they have brewed for centuries. Authentic beerpub.

Populated with working locals on their way home, the venue offers two taps and three bottles of their own brew. Prices for the draught beers are €2.90/0.5l while the bottled beers are a bit more expensive.

Closer to the station & easy to walk as is everything in Bamberg. Cool grandmother, old wood & curtain styled vibe. Typical for area service & fair prices. Good amount of locals, friend had some food & deemed it good. Cosy & classical. The main thing is the quality of their beer really, it is okay & right across the street you can drink Spezial. Elsewhere this would impress more but here you just want to be drinking something else really. They did offer almost all of their selection (granted not big).

Across the street from Spezial brauerei. I got the feeling Fassla is the blue collar joint of Bamberg. Ordered a couple beers from the window and neither were very good. Location is everything with this place, but otherwise it was a bit mediocre.

Convenient stop across from Spezial. Central courtyard with halls on each side and a hotel above. SinH4, CS and I ordered from the serving window and sat in the courtyard. There was a second more crowded courtyard beyond we could have chosen. Decent beers. Friendly locals.

A great "boozer" of a pub/inn/brewery. Local old geezers and blue collar guys drinking ALL day. Stayed two nights in the inn and had plenty of their beer. Both were solid. Across the street from Spezial.
