82 Highly recommended |
90 visited May 3rd 2016. Very spacious with a nice outdoor area, but we hung out at the bar, of course, and ordered tasting flights. Beer is decent - plenty of seasonal and experimental brews and staff was really friendly. This was our last stop in Birmingham and I left the city all teary-eyed. A beautiful scene with great vibes. Definitely a place to watch. |
92 Great new location in the Avondale area. Plenty of seating with a nice outdoor area. They also have free skee-ball machines and a nice selection of other games. The beer was great of course. The also offer tours of the brewery. |
76 Pretty chil scene on a happy hour time. Garage style brewery which means the doors open during nice weather making for a chill enviroment. Parking in the lot is limited but I am sure you could find a spot in the street. 8 beers on tap when I went, all interesting in nature. Free darts and skee ball. Pints are $5, flights of 4 4 oz is $5. Skee skee skee mo fuckers skee skee skee gdmn. Some where Lil’ John is smiling. |

80 Small but fun place. Lots of parking in their own lot. Inside you can do customized flight up to eight beers, on a board shaped like the state, a nice touch. Beers were interesting, nothing outstanding. Free food buffet was on offer, since they were having the semi-finals of a Skeeball tournament - there are two lanes in the corner, reminds me of Coney Island. |
64 Small taproom with a nice view of their brewing setup. Decent selection and convenient to downtown. Best of all they have skeeball. |
62 What Cahaba brewing company lacks in ambiance they make up for with their beer. I should also mention they have free skeeball. Great place to grab a beer after work. |
80 Cahaba is another AL brewery to open up just outside the main downtown area of Birmingham. The house beer sampler was served on a wooden cutout of the state and they had a skee ball machine. The brewer is a fireman and only brews twice per week, but he is putting out some fine beverages during those sessions. This is a must stop in Birmingham. |
74 This is a new brewery in Birmingham, located in a warehouse. It was pretty quiet when I was there on a Saturday afternoon. There is a wooden bar and some tables as well. There is a large projector screen airing sports. The tap list was pretty short, I think only 4 beers were on when I visited. I tried the IPA and rye stout and both were quite excellent. So far, the ambiance could use a little work, but I’m sure as more people learn about it, it will be more happening. The beer is great and it’s definitely worth a stop. |
