Castleburg Brewery and Taproom

Old school style brewpub, kind of vaguely British in feel. Games and stuff in a corner by couch, hightop tables otherwise. Dimly lit place but cozy. Beers are fairly old school, simple but done very well, so this is a good place to visit if you're not chasing trends like hazies and fruit bomb sours. No flights available right now during pandemic. Friendly service. Just around the corner from Hardywood and Main Line.

Place next to Hardywood Park (which closed quite early on Sunday) at strip mall. Large room and outside patio. The flag of Poland on the wall. 10 of 12 listed beers available. Flights of 5 available (10 USD). Beers are below average.

This place is very close to Hardywood Park, and about a 15-20 minute walk from Scott's Addition. Strip mall type former restaurant space maybe, so plenty of parking. Small serving bar and lots of bar and restaurant tables plus a comfy couch. Flights of five five ounce pours. Beers are decent enough. Brewer sitting at the bar chatting a drinking, extra service/atmosphere points for that. Food is limited to jerky and hummus. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Nice taproom. Very nice team- they opened special for our group. Good selection of their own brews. Average prices. I thought the beer was pretty solid overall- and two of them I really liked a lot.

Smallish brewery, comfortable taproom with a slightly upscale vibe. Friendly staff. Beers are a little standard and pedestrian. 2 of 7 had very minor flaws but all were drinkable. Prices are a touch high. Worth swinging by for ticks if you’re hitting up Hardywood

This is a new brewery in town near Hardywood Park in Richmond. It has a nice tasting room with an excellent selection of beers. It was not crowded on Sunday. The server was helpful with the selection of beers for the flight. We did not try the food. Both IPAs were very good.
