Where to go in Stockton Heath if you go on holiday by mistake, as we did..Varied clientele. I.e. not dominated by hipsters. Craft bar wood and brick ambience, two massive plus points for me. 1) The Dunelm Massey Porter was as good as any porter I've ever had, 2). It was £3.30 a pint. Didn't go anywhere else, apart from the chip shop.

Nice real ale bar in the centre of Stockton Heath. Beers are mainly from the Lymm and Dunham Massey breweries. Nice atmosphere and decent selection of beers

Real ale bar occupying a shop unit close to the Aldi supermarket in the heart of the very small but very vibrant centre of Stockton Heath south of the Manchester Ship Canal as it passes through Warrington. The front of the ale house with its large glass windows is taken up with small tables, with the bar at the rear of the room on is left hand side. Here there’s 7 ale pumps that carry both Dunham Massey and Lymm Brewery ales as this is an official outlet for both of these Cheshire brewers. 6 were from Dunham on my visit. If you don’t fancy these micros there’s plenty of bottle choices from craft brewers as well as two keg craft lagers. Although not distinguished with its decor, it has a moody lighting and is a comfortable and friendly place. Given this is a very affluent area of the town the prices are decent.
