dive bar turned craft beer joint. 150 beers on tap, decent prices. ambiance is total dive but its all good.

Beer only place (and some wines). They have a lot of drafts on and a decent selection of cans. There is always a few beers on that are new and that I haven’t had before. They seem to rotate through their selection pretty quick. I love IPA’s and there is a wide selections of IPA’s on, and usually a black IPA on also, which I find isn’t always that common to get. The bartenders are always friendly and great at recommending beers to me and letting me try new styles.

Great cute beer and wine bar. Has 85 drafts on tap and a very wide craft can beer selection. Definitely a huge supporter of local brews! Bartenders are always super friendly and knowledgeable. I usually have them pick a beer for me based on what I am in the mood for. They are always opened to giving samples to customers to try new beers. I often will ask for some samples of beers I want to try while I am enjoying my brew and they are great at explaining the beer and letting me try it! I often see people with flights of beers during slower times, so I reccomend coming early on a weekend or early on a weekday to get full attention or a flight if desired as they can get quite busy! The happy hour from 4-7pm on the weekdays is also $4 craft beers (for almost any brew they have!!) so I like to try to get here for Happy hour when I can!

When I visited: Late March 2014. What I had: Southern Tier Porter and Victory DirtWolf Double IPA on tap, a couple of white wines for the lady. What I liked: Spacious and inviting bar, college party vibe, gargantuan draught list, fast and engaging service, fair prices, a dive bar with class. What I disliked: My porter tasted a bit dull; not sure whether that was due to an old keg or something else. Would I go back? Probably, though I’d be sure to ask for a sample before ordering a full pint of anything. Overall Rating: 76

This is a fun "dive" bar in the Kings Street district. They’ve recently got a a bunch of great beers on tap. They do host a lot of local beers, but they feature some hard to find stuff from all over. It seems as though the distributor stopped sending beer to Kickbacks and began bringing it to Dahlia’s. There’s a huge selection of beer on tap and when I went there, there were only two macros on tap out of 85, so I’d say that’s a good ratio, sorry DRowland, you know you’re my buddy. This is the best beer bar on the street by far.

Dahlia’s is a dive bar with a crazy amount of taps. The draft list is a real mix bag of stuff, some awesome and limited and many others macros and all too common! Definitely worth visiting if you’re not from the neck of the woods as there was plenty that I hadn’t had. They also offered up an unusual bottle/can menu.... Even managed to score a Colt 45 high gravity for $2 or something! Barman was friendly, but not knowledgeable. Decent place to stop past, tick a few beers and play some pool I guess.

A dive bar with nearly 100 taps, quantity over quality. Ambiance is pool bar, darts, casual, unassuming. Some interesting finds on tap though with Green Room, Cigar City, Swamp Head, and I’m sure Bold City and Intuition. Overall less impressive thank Kickbacks across the street plus this place does not serve food and the ambiance is not as good. Bright, industrial lighting was a little bizarre for a dive bar. Prices are low and the bartender was kind, though no beer expert. Didn’t seem like you could get taster size pours so get ready to get a bunch of random drafts and share them around I guess. One thing to note is that there isn’t so much overlap on the taplist here with Kickback’s, so it is definitely worth a peek in after a Kickbacks night to see what is up and maybe play some pool. Fun place overall.
