Large patio across from park with trolley stop in front and close to rail. Nice selection of Dutch craft and good lunch food.

Beer-centered 'hipster restaurant' in Amsterdam just outside of the busy city centre and close to the beautiful and colourful Oosterpark, visited on a Saturday in the early evening during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Large outside patio but not too cosy - long wooden tables with benches, far from comfortable especially during the extremely busy time when we visited the place. Quick, friendly and efficient service, though, knowing their beers - as indeed this place teems with beers from the new Amsterdam (or generally Dutch) craft beer scene so non-Dutch raters can be sure to find some ticks here. The food was modern American style streetfood of the kind hipsters love so much: upgraded burgers, beef burritos with nachos, stuff like that, but well-prepared and tasty. Nice place, but I would probably have liked it better on a less busy day, should revisit this during one of my winter visits to the city next time.

Visited on 03/07/2017. Beer list is nice, mainly Dutch beers (of smaller breweries), some foreign beers. Friendly and quick service with knowledge from the beers. Not that far away from the center. Just a small outside area, but nice inside.

Visited on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Close to Brouwerij ’t IJ, so a bit out of the way for the regular beer tourist. Large patio with wooden benches in front of the bar, medium sized café behind that, very small bar in the back next to the toilets. Modern interior, not much to it but can see this being very cozy when full. Decent service, good selection of mainly local beers, prices were as you’d expect in Amsterdam. Didn’t eat here. OK to visit when in the area, the patio is really nice.

Medium large, inviting beer bar with a sheltered patio in front of it. Quite a large selection of mainly Dutch/Amsterdam micros (even the lesser known ones) and some Belgians. Came here several times to try their house beer (Biertuig), but it was never available. Okay prices, acceptable service (not overly friendly, but at least patient), rather young crowd. Definitely a good choice if you simply want to enjoy a nice beer. However, be aware of some crazy people that seem to come past quite regularly.

Popular place with a small and busy wooden bench beer garden out front. Interesting new local brews on tap and by bottle, and they even have an Emelisse IPA brewed for them (worth a visit for this alone). The food looked good though I didn’t try it and the service was quick and friendly even though they were fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon.

De Biertuin attracts a young, good-humoured, professional crowd with a hipstery edge (what is new in the Amsterdam beerscene?). Good beerselection with many local brews, a fairly extensive and partially rotating list of taps and a nice bottlelist. I thought the food here was actually quite good, aiming at the german cuisine with classics like bratwurst, but also serving the hipsterclassics like burgers and half or whole roast chickens. Service is generally quick and friendly. Prices are okay for Amsterdam standards. Well worth a visit and located very nicely on the edge of the Oosterpark (though not bordering it directly). Tram nr. 9 stops right in front of it.

The biertuin is located near oosterpar, with a beergarden in the front Of the building. inside the atmosphere is like a typical beerhouse with a lot of wood. I went here on a Saturdayevening and it was fully packed, the staff was friendly but a bit in a rush. Quality of my hamburger was a bit disappointing, the beers are alright with enough choice. Overall we had a good time.
