32 Visited with Caesar and completely agree with his review. Nice looking interior, looks like an old tavern indeed. Their own beers: bad, really bad. Unfortunate to say but they were so bad they should be ashamed to have this on tap and they should be even more ashamed of their prices for this crap! Avoid unless desperate for the ticks. |
30 Beautiful interior of a medieval tavern. But thats about the only thing that is good Im afraid. Their own beers are basicly horrible, buttery and vegetables. Served in dirty glassware. Also, way way way overpriced. Almost 5 euros for an own brew is simply a crime. Avoid. |
64 Big bar, beatiful decoration, old style with a modern twist. with some of their own beers brewed at place, in "St. Joris Brouwerij", located in the basement (at least they said so). Centrally located, big terrace, seems that is more focused in eating, and beer is just there because people need to drink something. Weak house beers, at least what we tried, with some other usual suspects on tap, mainstream ones if i remind well. |

60 Update Jan’14: scores reduced for Service and Value. Many beers have risen significantly in price in recent months. There are one or two good staff working here but on the whole the service is really poor. Some barstaff actively avoid eye-contact. ----------------- Original review:I’ve visited many times over the last 6 months and have mixed experiences. Positive: Pricing is generally low, nice interior, broad selection, 5 rotating taps/guests available as tasters, can pay with ’pin/cashcard’.
Negative: Often very busy, the layout means it difficult to hang around the bar drinking, people sitting eating food at 2200 detracts from the bar atmosphere.

66 Modernish pub with a good selection of beers, appears to be more geared towards dining, but they have revolving guest beers, some from overseas. I’m told the service can be a bit bad, but it seemed fine when I was there |
60 Large barn look city bar with a big selection of specialty beers from everywhere. Much of a ’look at me’ type of bar and not really a really beer bar. Service is lousy and not very attentive. The selection is nice but i doubt if it is fresh. Friendly priced but smaller glasses. Food is good but small portions. So if your hungry it will be expensive. Overall nice but not that nice. |
