2nd visit. Zehendner and Heckel Vollbier on tap in good condition. Lovely charming beer garden. Friendly service. Amazing Thai cuisine. Red curry and panang. Superb. Will come back more often. Located 5 min from Schlenkerla

Good place visited many time in the last 10 years .. good selection of franconia beers and tasty Thai food .. usually we come here for the last drink after all the beers drunk during the day .. in fact we usually drink G&T ;)

Came early at 17 a tuesday. Biergarten has about ten tables. One for stam guest, has a pelican on it. All the others were reserved from 19. The beer menu is not too long, but I found a radler, which was perfect on a hot afternoon.

Close tot he center as to be expected but both the neighborhood feel notably different. This place had multiple themes going on at the same time successfully. Amazing & super heavy smell of Thai cuisine, cocktail bar & Bavarian bar. Service was great. Beer list limited & explanation of what was actually on tap was confusing. Hard liquor selection is the real deal here they had a rum list that was out of the world & let me to the dark path of doing rum the middle of my Bamberg pub crawl. You can find some different beers here but the food & hard liquor seem to be the real draw here, didn’t eat here, vegetarian food seemed to be available. Essential if you like rum less so otherwise still very cool place.

Lively pub/restaurant that serves some wonderful Thai food, a welcome variation after a couple of days of sausages at breweries. Modest tap selection and a few bottles, I had a Zirndorfer Urhell and a Mönchsambacher Export. Above average service from the young waitors, one even indentified me as a "beer geek" and offered some good suggestions.

Lovely Thai food here but I was frustrated one evening when I went here and found no spaces outside and the inside was only available for drinking. Seems illogical to me. Still, good food and a small but well chosen beer list.

Came here on 26.11.2016. Was on the way back to the hotel and found this more by coincidence as people were serving beers in the entrance area (music inside). They had 6 excellent regional bock beers. Guess this was a special event. Despite the cool temperature people were drinking outside in the very nice backyard. Great experience!

Visited March 2016. Was pointed in the direction of this multi-chambered student dive with character for beer selection & it did deliver for the night. Somewhat larger bottle selection than advertised, including 1L Pax-Bräu bottles shared by my Italian/Finnish neighbours and a few Kellers from the Bamberger Umland. Nicely mixed crowd coming and going from all angles, giving this place a more vibrant feel than many comparable sterile studenty hangouts in BW.

Very busy, but as Bayern Munich were on tv scoring 9 goals at the time, not exactly surprising. Be advised that late at weekends the disco takes over. Interesting variation from the standard beers found locally.

Visited March 2012. This characterful bar was a 30 second walk from where I was staying so I made it here quite a few times. Quite crowded at times, and the music could use turning down on occasion. I’m told it’s nicer in good weather as you can sit outside. Had a Thai meal rather late one night, pretty good. Diverse beer selection for a German bar.
