76 A seemingly small bar in Kanda. It is tight and cozy quarters but there are 2 floors (and a random table in between the two). They had about 10 house taps and a few guests I believe. The beers were quite good though. The menu is predominantly Chicago style pizza. I ordered one of the monthly special pizzas which was more of a hybrid of Chicago style and pan pizza (it was quite good though). Definitely a good stop for beer and the pizza is pretty good too. |
74 Fairly small place in Kanda. I don't know if they are brewing here, but they are definitely serving their own beer, plus a selection of international beers. Prices are decent, selection was solid. Staff speaks English, which makes things easy. Vibe was good, mix of tourists/locals. I did not eat here, but they do deep dish pizza and it looked pretty good. Worth stopping in. |
80 What a great place. Small, perhaps better said as cozy. Has 8 of their own beers on tap and a few guest taps. Sort of medium depth deep dish pizzas. Not pretentious at all, fun and casual place. I loved the DC beers, they were all clean and flavorful. One of the best in Japan. |
48 é uma rede, e você se sente em uma. Seleção genérica de cervejas convidadas, as de marca própria não impressionam, nem a comida. Atendimento ruim. |
72 This is a small location, the other locations are bigger. The beer is priced pretty well. It's also rare for them to have stouts or dark beer, so be aware of that.
The food is pretty good. A lot of people get the deep dish pizza, but it's not really like Chicago Deep Dish. The pizza here is mostly tomato sauce and not cheese. But staff is great and service is good. |

58 Small well lit bar with a few outdoor tables. Mostly young Japanese guys looking at their phones. Painfully slow and incompetent service, sat around for 10 minutes before being given a menu, didn’t get a plate with my pizza, etc. 5 japanese taps (3 of which were out on my visit) and 10 california/PNW taps which would by hard to come by even in the US. Similar beer prices to most other beer places in Tokyo. The pizza is pretty good and mostly accurate in style, but the price is simply ludicrous for the amount of food you get. I had to buy a second dinner (at 1/2 the price!) at a different bar later. Not worth a stop for food or japanese beer, but a good choice for some rare US beers. |
80 Updated again. Great service with the pizza times really improving. We received 2 pizzas within 25 minutes of ordering on a Friday night. Very impressed. The food was amazing as usual. No issues with overcharging. The beers all came out quickly in great condition as well. Very nice time had. |
52 Really disappointed. Beer list is mostly from the USA but very average quality beers. The beers from Japan were pretty low quality too. When I visited, we almost left because we couldn’t find something decent to order.
If you want good beer in Tokyo, check out Craftheads in Shabuya instead. |
90 Close walk to the JR Kanda Station, conveniently on the Yamanote loop. From the street, and upon entering, only the first floor (of 3) is visible. Looks tiny and cramped. Walked in and were led to the 2nd floor. Still cramped, but a nice table. Beers are all top notch. Love the deep dish pizzas. The small is very small and a bit expensive for the size, but the regular size is more than enough for two people and a good value by my estimation.
I prefer the other location in Hamamatsucho, as it is closer to where I live and much more spacious inside. This location is much better for a date.
As they are only four stops from each other on the Yamanote, try both in a night and decide for yourself. |
