Die Bierothek® Bamberg

Medium sized store located in the town center. Neat store with 3 or 4 fridges in the back. Solid mix of German traditional beers and some modern styles from newer breweries. Also decent selection of imports, however in the age of webshops prices are just too high. Service seemed friendly enough and we got expired barley wine for free. Worth checking out, we scored few interesting beers.

Centrally located in Bamberg. About the same size as the one I know in Frankfurt. Good selection of craft and regional brews, although the latter are probably found cheaper elsewhere. Service was friendly. The noon opening hour prevented me from hitting the shop on the day we left town.

A quick visit with SinH4 on my way to Schlenkerla. Pretty good Franconian selection - of course, not Getränkemarkt prices, but if you don't have the means to go to one, this is a great thing. Not only that, there are some pretty interesting German craft beers, even from, say, Flygge! Got two Knoblachs. The guy working there did his best to help a tourist couple, so pretty good service apparently. There are probably places with better selections, but, honestly, this hit the spot well.

Visited shortly after opening time. Good selection of various beers. Some locals, some german craft, some international stuff. A bit more expensive than other shops. But well worth a stop.

Beer shop on a corner nearby Fässla and a bridge. Many imports. Also German and Bavarian beers you rarely see in the supermarkets. Bottled St Erhard is here. Price level is a little up compared with supermarkets getränkemarkts, but it's worth it. Service is excellent.

A smallish store with a good range of beers - some local but many from other parts of Germany as well as an international selection. Prices are what you'd expect from a craft beer outlet and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Quite surprised by this place, fairly central. Very slick modern, Scandinavian almost looking, modern wood. Selection displayed for impact & not efficiency. Chilled beers available. There are classical Bavarian beers but also things like BE, USA beers, modern craft & some modern Bavarian craft. Quite an interesting & nice selection at decent pricing and fair service. Neat.
