44 Not sure why this space keeps housing brewpubs (3rd or 4th I’ve been to), but I can’t say that the current incarnation is anything I hope sticks around. Food was fairly good, but the six beers were generally disappointing - nothing particularly good. |
78 Three other brewpubs have occupied this space, the one I remember the most is Vintage 50. The appearance hasn’t changed a bit, they still have the small copper jacketed brewhouse up front, and they still write the beer menus on blackboards above the bar. They’ve just been open three weeks, so they still have a limited food menu, and plan a few more beers as well. Beers were all traditional, straightforward, safe styles, but they were well done and tasty; the IPA was more cutting edge, half California, half New England style. Six beers on offer, available as a complete flight of six (bonus points for that!). Very attentive, friendly, efficient service. Glad this place is open again, and on track to do very well. Apps were tasty, and I look forward to revisiting when they have a full menu. |
