Dovetail Brewery

We came here on 29.11.2021. A bit outside of the beaten track but worthwhile to be visited. Great German and Austrian style beers. The Vienna Lager and Rauchbier I had were top class. They also brew sour beers (cool ship). One of the highlights is the Lauter Grant behind the bar. We were here on a Monday early afternoon hence it was a bit quite but liked the place overall very much.

Nice medium sized taproom with industrial interior. Came just before the last call so as expected it wasn't crowded. Good selection of different lager styles and sours. Quality wise the beers were very good. Friendly service.

Located just off the Brown Line it was easy to get to in a small warehouse. A nice wooden tap room with a decent amount of seating. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. There were probably 12 beers on tap with a few bottles to go available. Flights were available on the non-sour beers. Appreciated the lager focus. A few snacks and a food truck on site. Prices were good except the sours on tap were quite expensive so I skipped. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would recommend.

I enjoy this place, I always stop in when they have a new release. In a time when every other brewpub tap room overs 7 IPAs a saison and maybe one other style they are always out of, it is nice to find a place that offers some stuff not every one is brewing. Which they had more food, but a food truck is commonly outside on Fridays.

A well executed German spot. 4 very solid beers for the style, especially the hefe. Overall, a fun spot but the styles are so boring, its hard imagining ever coming back.
