Dunajský pivovar

Visited in Winter 2017 and in Summer 2018. Fabulous boat brewery, with quite a cozy lower deck and a sun-flooded (in Summer obviously) upper deck. We didn't manage to catch a party but the upper deck is of that videoclip party type, which makes your imagination go vivid. Great view on the old town and the castle, good service. Didn't have the food and the beers were mediocre but hey, the beers are just an excuse to venture to this side of the Danube. Great place.

Its a ship! You can see the Bratislava castle in the sunset right at the Danube if you come at the right time (dinner?!). So atmosphere is the best. The beers were only mediocre and the food was nothing special neither. Still recommended for the chillness of everything!

Hmmm the best thing with this place....is the park on the outside. Very nice actually. The funny thing is that it is a boat. Apart from that....cross the bridge and find yourself some good tasty beer

Dunajsky Pivovar is on a boat which is also a hotel (or “botel”) just a short stroll from the UFO observation deck on the south side of the river. They only had two beers (light and semi dark) so we asked for one of each but got two semi dark. It was OK but rather sweet. There’s a brew kit on board and it all looks rather swish. Not sure whether they actually brew though as they’re also associated with Patronsky Pivovar north of the city. The best part of visiting here was sitting on the deck in the sunshine admiring the lovely view of the castle upstream. (Visited 13 July 2018).

Large restaurant located on a boat at the Danube. Modern but classy interior inside, seating outside is possible as well. Two beers were available during my visit, their Pale Lager and an American-style Amber Lager (not a classic Polotmavý) but not their Dark Lager. Food is hearty and classic Brauhaus fare with some local dishes and international ones. Staff is relatively friendly, I had too wait a long time for my food unfortunately while my girlfriend's meal was served way earlier. Still had a really good time here, would come back for the food and for the view for sure.

Brewpub on boat. Decent service, English understood. Beer is cheap, food not so much. Selection is mostly limited to their own beers, but at least the one i tried was good. Overall: worth the trip from the center, even if it's not the most ticky place.
