Evil Twin NYC - Ridgewood

Interesting looking glass veranda-like taproom with a solid selection of Evil Twin and worthwhile guest taps. Cans available for takeaway. Enjoyed my time here, recommended.

Strange little place on the Bushwick/Ridgewood border. Basically, it is a small all-glass building surrounded by a larger outdoor space. The brewery itself is located in the adjoining warehouse. The beer selection is pretty expansive and often includes over-priced guest taps from the like of Monkish and Moksa. The menus are really annoying looking and difficult to read, but once you get past it is fine. Outside, there is usually some food truck, so you can bring in food. Small pours are available, but can be a bit pricy, especially for the pastry stouts and the like. Beer to go is also available in 4 packs. Good beer. Ambiance is weird.

Beautiful taproom, except for the garish neon signs for beer names. Beers are good, 4oz pours are available if you ask, they're not advertised. Selection is excellent, with a few lagers, several IPAs, a few sours and stouts etc. Two guest taps on my second visit (Trillium & Horus), zero on my first. My guess is it was to do with the 12 Beers of Christmas thing, rather than something normal. Beers are good. Place is good. Service is a tad slow, but very friendly. Definitely one of the better taprooms to visit (except for those bloody signs).

Finally visited the taproom on 12/16/19. Greenhouse like structure in the backyard of the brewery with a large patio with long tables outside. They have 20 beers on tap, with one guest beer, A few snacks are available. They also serve coffee from a separate counter. Communal and smaller single tables to sit and enjoy the beer. Sadly, they don't serve flights but have two pour sizes: expensive and more expensive! Must visit.
