76 Open arch and rickety tables and benches. Only had two core range verdant beers on my visit the rest were pressure drop. Lots of cans in the fridge and some brand new pressure drop beers. |
68 Hackney Central - under the rail arch is probably the most trendy place in the area for craft people: Pressure Drop X Verdant The Experiment. Especially Verdant is a hip name now (from Manchester). The place is like one from Bermondsay mile and same time it some has US taproom vibe. 80's classics played (Depeche Mode, Eurythmics). Cans to take out, 13 taps. Verdant Neal Gets Things Done is modern, juicy, fruity neipa. Ply Me A River is odd with funky aroma and nectary fruityness. Not a West Coast Ipa as promised. |
76 Visited 20/11/2019. Railway arches/bomb shelter ambiance, but with decent beer and really friendly service. We went for 5 x 3rds of each of the Verdant beers and whilst they ranged from pretty good to very good there wasn’t much variation. Enjoyed the visit though and definitely plan to return. |
72 One of several places under the railway arches near Hackney Central station. It has mainly Pressure Drop and Verdant beers. A fairly basic taproom but nice to visit (if you can find a seat) and this area is great for a mini pub crawl with good beers on offer almost everywhere. |
76 Raczej szopa z lawkami i 4rema kranami niz pub, ale poziom piw rekompensuje... |
66 The last of the current crop of bars under the north facing arches across from Hackney Central station, this one is shared by Verdant and Pressure Drop and unsurprisingly includes a split selection between the two on the bar at the back wall. There's a snacks desk on the right if you're feeling peckish. Has some outdoor space and is card payment only. |
78 One room bar / taproom close to Hackney Central station. Five beers on tap from each brewery. It's a nice space with the worst feature being a single toilet, definitely have to plan ahead! |
70 Down an industrial looking road just off the main junction by Hackney Central station.
The venue is basic and not the most comfortable of places but the beers are worth a trip. Often good stuff to be had on tap and occasionally cans.
Card only payment here which fucks me off a little but that's me - cash is king.
Definitely worth looking in to and you have a fair few bars within walking distance for a good Hackney bimble. |
