Just north of the centre, this is a cute little place that's been around for a while. Taplist is not super intriguing, but they have some oddities on that might be worth trying if you're into them. Flights available, with however many beers you want on them for $2 a piece. I wasn't enthused with any of the beers I tried, but they were mostly competent. Service seemed a tad impatient, but was otherwise OK. Wouldn't especially recommend a visit.

Visited on the afternoon of Thursday 04/02/16. Smallish brew pub located in a strip mall a few miles outside of the downtown Santa Rosa. Place had a few punters at this happy hour time visit. Tasters available for the 7 or 8 beers on tap. Beers were spread across a number of styles and were generally fine ... averaging around the 3.2 mark for me. Service prompt and friendly. If you only had time for a 2 ro 3 venues in Santa Rosa, Fogbelt wouldn’t make the cut, but if you have a long weekend or a full day beer touring then it’s worth hitting up.

A fairly average brewpub. They offer a nice range of beers, but they don’t execute consistently on the quality front. They offer affordable flights, which is good. The place itself is riddled with natural light, and it’s quite sleek and modern. I didn’t order the beers, but I gather the staff was friendly. Overall, I would say that if you’re spending a bit of time in the Santa Rosa area you should check this place out, but it’s not a must-visit situation.

Small brewpub just off highway 101 in Santa Rosa. Nice interior, pretty cool vibe. Beers were not outstanding by any means but pretty solid and cheap.

A nicely appointed tap room located in a small strip mall. Parking may be a challenge during peak times. The beers seemed to be named after local trees, which I thought was cool. The beer itself was pretty decent, definitely a level above most of the other smaller local players. The styles on offer were pretty diverse, included such things as a randalled berliner and a bourbon-infused stout. I didn’t really get much of feeling for where the brewery’s strength lied, but it was nice to see them experimenting.

Relatively small brewpub with a diamond-shaped bar in the middle, located in a small strip mall in Santa Rosa. Parking is challenging, with a small lot available. The interior is modern and clean. All ordering is done at the bar and the bartender was friendly. Flights are inexpensive. We didn’t eat here. Beer is decent but nothing special. They care about the aesthetic of the place and their brand and have good taste; with a little dialing in on the beer, they’d get more attention. Still worth a stop, though.

Easy to get to if you’re in Santa Rosa proper. Beers were pretty decent, definitely a step up from lesser brewpubs. Interior felt modern and thought through. Service was attentive and flights cheap. Worth a stop by.

An open-floor-plan brewpub located in a strip mall in Santa Rosa. The selection is decent, and the service is inoffensive but indifferent, much like I feel about (most of) their beer (their berliner was straight up nasty though). They also had a few guest ciders op tap. We didn’t eat, but they do have food. Worth a stop if you’re in the area and want to do some ticking, but that’s about it.

Very solid place. Good-sized, and decent amount of traffic on a Wednesday night. 8 beers on tap. Did a flight. All of them are solid. Nothing was amazing, but all were good and enjoyable. Better than I expected based on some of the reviews. It’s definitely worth stopping in.

Fogbelt Brewing Company was our second stop on the great Santa Rosa road trip, but probably our quaintest. We had heard rumors from as far away as Big Sur about the beers here, and how it was started by someone vaguely associated with Whole Foods in the past. Whatever its origin, we loved the place. It’s tucked away on the west side of the highway into a little shopping plaza, but supplies a lot of good beers and great service. Several employees rushed back and forth to make sure we had a drink in front of us - beer or water - and the beers themselves were generally quite good. It’s a low-key, relaxing environment, especially after a long road trip, and well worth seeing. I especially suggest the smoked beer - flavorful yet restrained. Take home a t-shirt, too. The tree theme is wonderfully appropriate after coming from the south through Big Sur.
