Walked the mile or so from the Old Town out to here on 9th Feb 2017. Wife and I really liked the place, clean, airy and modern. Brewery equipment and promo goods one end, food station the other: very American to us visiting Brits and unlike almost anything currently in the UK. A good start to our Temecula three day visit, we wanted to try ’America’. It was lunchtime, we sat at the bar and shared a flight before ordering larger amounts (only their beers, plenty of people wanting growlers filling etc though). Server pleasant and friendly, she explained the food system too. So, off I set to queue for a ’choose your own salad’ having agreed with the wife we didn’t want Pizza. Anyway as I stood in line I overheard a bloke ordering his ’designer Pizza’, not only did it sound great it looked great as the server piled on all the ingredients as he asked for them. Needless to say I jumped queues and asked the guy if he minded me having the same Pizza ordered for my wife and I too share. He duly repeated his list of stuff and I got one of the best Pizza’s I have ever had (and I’ve been to Italy plenty of times). Apparently this guy’s wife is a Vegan and he builds these Pizzas with all the stuff he doesn’t eat at home. Beers were fine too.

Came for the beer, stayed for the pizza. The beer here is not bad, but there is nothing I’d specifically go back for or find myself craving. The pizza is fantastic, have it built in front of you, made fresh how you like. The service is spot on, get a taster, super friendly and helpful.

Visited on a Wednesday evening on my tour of Temecula. This place is very easy to find being right off the freeway with their name and logo painted on the side of the building, which is pretty huge by the way. You can definitely see exactly where it is before you even exit. It has a pretty commercial, sanitized, soccer mom kind of atmosphere, but at least it’s clean and welcoming. Of course they serve pizza with table service and a bar that seems sort of separate from everything else, but still in the same room if that makes any sense. I didn’t eat the food instead opting for the four beer flight. The service was just ok and the beers were not quite as good as I expected from all the buzz I’ve been hearing. The Helles was genuinely good. Overall, I think these guys are going for a completely different image than most of the other small breweries in the area and not necessarily in a good way. At least the beers are decent though. Based on my visit, I would probably skip this one if you can’t hit all the Temecula places.

This CA brewery is conveniently located barely off of I-15 in Temecula, on the edge of wine country. It is located next to a convenience store / gas station which sells its beers in growlers. The Pizzeria concept is build-your-own for a single price with any number of toppings, though there are pre-mixed options to help alleviate any lengthy decisions. After ordering our personal pizzas we sat in the bar area high tops which includes bar service. Here we tried a variety of the house beers though there are guest options as well. I cannot say enough about the service - we were well attended and felt welcome the whole time. The brewery/restaurant/bar is an open concept with plain plywood walls, and it works with the garage (auto shop) theme.

A cool concept, nice bar with wrenches as tap handles. Lots of seating. I didn’t try the the pizza but it smelled and looked good. The beer was good.

As others said, this used to be a mechanics garage, which was converted into a brewery/restaurant. This is a family friendly joint, so those of that can’t fathom drinking beer around children, be forewarned. It’s a build-your-own pizza place, ala Subway. The pizza was pretty awful, actually. The beer was surprisingly good, and the prices were even better. A 32 ounce growler was under $10 to fill, with new glass.

Visited April 6, 2014.

Cool concept. This was formerly a repair shop. Unfortunately they’ve sealed the roll up doors because that would be cool to roll those up in the evening and get some air flowing. I suppose the fact that they’re south facing might cause issues in the summer, but still. I’m guessing that by the Harley and Indian signs around and the dedicated "covered" (only somewhat covered) motorcycle parking that this was a bike repair shop. They also have wrenches for tap handles. Kind of cool.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the hoppy beer was good. I tried all the beers and the session IPA was the best in my opinion. I got a little growler of it to go. The prices were good too, at least on growlers. The little growler (32oz) was $2.50 for the empty and another $5 to fill it. Take note people, growler prices should encourage people to buy them so you can move your beer more quickly. Selling at $10 for a half gallon will still net you more profit than selling kegs to a distributor. Stop being stupid and charging the same per oz price as you would a pint at the bar. You wont come to my house and pour it for me, nor will you clean up after me. Thank you Garage Brewing for not being ridiculous.

I didn’t try the food but there was a line for it. The samples were reasonably priced. The service was decently friendly. Nice place. I’ll have to stop back in some time on the way back from SD for some pizza.

Literally, an old garage. It’s right next to a gas station and right off the freeway at Temecula Parkway, so pretty easy to access. At first I just saw a counter where you could order food, but there is a bar back by the brewhouse. They serve pizza here and it’s pretty cheap and looked pretty good (didn’t eat). They had about 10 of their beers on tap during my visit and sort of ranged over a number of styles. My favorites were easily the mango wheat beer and their IPAs.

The service was friendly, but they seemed hesitant to let me try all of their beers. Luckily worked out a compromise to try a few things for free in very small pours and then get a full flight (4-5 oz) of the others. The owner talked to me a bunch about their brewery and beers...seems like they’re doing in the right way and they should be successful. Probably one of the better beer options in Temecula after Ironfire.
