82 One of the last stops on the Tampa trip...some outside space and working space with tables and a bar inside along with some TVs showing NFL playoffs when we were there. Board games and family friendly including a colouring station for kids. Laid back and not too busy on a Saturday at 6pm. Samples of everything they had on tap, some bottles for sale. Only complaint was that most of the bottles for sale were not available on tap to try...may have been a timing things but when throwing down $30+ for a bottle of mead it would be nice to try first...especially because the mead ranged from mind-blowing to mediocre. Worth a visit for sure. |
68 Comfortable little tasting room where you can taste some very high quality fruited meads. 6 meads on tap, with 3 oz pours available for $6-8 - frankly absurd, even given the very high quality product (even Superstition and Schramm's are much more reasonable). It would be nice if they offered 1 oz pours for a couple bucks like the aforementioned meaderies. Service is decent, but non-engaging. Meads are phenomenal, though more like fruit wines with the fruit-dominated nature of the products. Definitely worth a visit for the great beverages, but prepare for a wallet shellacking. |
84 Another great place in Tampa. Great meads by the 5 ounces pour, 5 to 10$, all top selections. Service was friendly and prompt. 6 to 12$ per 5 ounces pour. Parking is relatively easy. |
82 Stopped in briefly just to get something to go on prior to hockey game. Nice location and standard little tasting room. Friendly staff. Only two bottle available to go I picked one which turns out to be unrateabke which is sad. A bunch on draft wish I had time to try some. The bottle I got was quite pricey but that’s the mead game I guess although I’m still a rookie I suppose. |
84 Visited during the Goober Strawberry release wknd.
Taproom inside the meadery right in downtown Tampa, just a block away from Hidden Springs and not far from Ulele.
Pretty packed with some folks buying many cases of this pricey one - yeah muling is fun - and a rare few folks buying one or two bottles. Had some of their meads which turned out pretty good with a good selection of about 10 on draft. Fair prices given the products.
