George (Fonthill)

A medium sized freehouse in the upper part of Tunbridge Wells. Dark wood and dark brick interiors with a patio in front, and the bar to the rear serving different section of the place. No Fonthill beers at our stay, but seven cask ales and quite a few craft beers on keg to choose from. Decent food; tasty fishcakes for me. Polite service. (Visited with Finn 18.10.2019).

Semi modern place with a local feeling. God beer selection.

6 ales and 3 ciders on cask plus approx. 10 kegs. Fonthill beers are brewed downstairs and usually available but they do not always brew so you could hit a gap and not get any. All others are rotating guests. One of the better pubs in Tunbridge Wells beer-wise. Am amazed I had to add it to Ratebeer!
