The value in the place is the experience. I go once a month in the summertime, when their outdoor biergarten is open (check their website). Usually 4 German beers on tap, offered in various sizes and at reasonable prices. Great to sit at the long tables, beneath the trees, enjoying an (always nice and cold) brew which listening to German music. Fun for people watching too- many dress up and/or bring steins from home!

Went here for father’s day one year. It’s a quaint outdoor place, they had a polka band playing, and folds were dancing all over the lawn. They served German wurst and kraut, which were awesome. Beer selection isn’t great, but better than most in town.

If you want a real German Biergarten experience you need to visit this place. Follow the link provided on this page to see when they’re open because they don’t have regular hours like a bar or restaurant. I had a really nice time at the German Day Picnic back in July. The polka band was great. I had some wurst and German potato salad that was really amazing. the Spaten is always fresh & good!

First time here on the evening of thier "Wurstfest" Well presented selection of proper temperature German brews on tap along with the regular bar grouping in bottles. It was a bit drafty but there were quite a few folks walking in. The mood was quite festive and it was a pleasure to walk about and look at all the history on the walls. The line-up of festivities range from the good old Biergarten-fest to Summerfest to the Upcoming Schnitzelfest in mid April. I’ll be back.

The German-American Club of Albany is last German organization still around in Albany. They also have the largest and the last original German Biergarten in the area. The club is located on approximately 5 acres and is nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately at the moment they are only open one night a week on Wednesday from 7:30 PM till around 11:30 PM and presently don’t serve food. However they do have excellent outdoor Summer events in the Biergarten!
