82 Been here a number of times. Huge warehouse space with the brewhouse behind the bar. Plenty of seating and a big bar where you order beers from. In the time of the 'vid, they've also set up the little parklet type deals on both the 21st and Adeline sides of the building.
The place is very dark and they have kind of a metal and occult theme to the brewery and their beer names, merch, etc. I like it, but I guess it's not for everyone.
They have started branching out a bit into sour/mixed fermentation beers more recently, but they're best known for hoppy stuff. I really like their west coast IPAs a lot, but they make some good hazy stuff, too.
Service is always friendly and prompt. Pretty good prices on full beers, tasters, cans, and growlers. Definitely worth a stop if you're visiting the Bay Area. |
76 Not too far from downtown -- you can either walk (about 20-30 mins) or grab a quick Uber/Lyft. Massive warehouse with plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Flights of 4 available ($12 or so). Large selection of beers, with a major focus on IPAs -- with plenty of west coat IPAs that ended up being the highlights. Service was fine. They have a bunch of cans and bottles to go -- most cans are only available in 4-packs though, which dissuades me from trying anything to go as a travelling ticker. Worth visiting. |
