78 Nice newer place, big selection, lot’s of beer and wine. Lots of local stuff as well as widely distributed stuff, lot’s of stuff that doesn’t usually sit on the shelf very long. Nice staff. Good place. |
60 The place looks & feels like a grocery store and they probably pay their bills with the money they get from Bud Light sales, but a few months ago, I discovered just how great their craft beer selection is. And because most beer geeks in town don't think to go to Green's, a lot of tough to find stuff tends to stay on the shelf longer. Just yesterday, I walked in & saw about a case's worth of Doom still on the shelf! And the prices are insanely low. That Doom sold for $11 a bottle when it wa selling for $15 everywhere else in town. A friend recently got a 32oz growler of Lagunitas Sucks for less than $5. Speaking of growlers, they've got a pretty solid lineup much of the time, with great prices. And just like the bottles, rarer stuff tends to stick around longer on the station than at many places. (See the aforementioned Sucks.) the only issue is that the growler station isn't always manned so you sometimes have to stand around waiting for an employee to wander by. The staff isn't the most knowledgable. There are a handful of guys that know their stuff & really have a passion for beer, but many are just hourly employees who are there for the paycheck. You kind of have to know what you're wanting when you go in, because you're not going to be able to ask too many of them for suggestions. But overall, this place is pretty great. There's a hidden treasure trove of cheap craft beer in the midst of a Bud Light Lime sea. |
78 Large selection and some of the best prices in SC. Particularly strong in regional craft beers and European beers. Don’t miss the separate small high-end beer room on right soon after entering the store.
Nov. 2014 update: The store has greatly increased their slection of domestic 12 oz. singles, although many beers remain available only in 4- or 6-packs. |
100 one word...awesome! best growler station in town! |
70 My final stop on the whirlwind lunchtime beer tour of Greenville, SC, via car. Beer section here was configured awkwardly, in a weirdly triangular section of the store tucked away with a separate entrance and all. But it was definitely worth a stop, given the growler station and the above average selection of local and national craft, with a fairly decent selection of imports too. |
68 Smaller than the Columbia warehouse but still great selection of imports. |
94 Great selection...only 4 taps but what they get is good and bargain priced. Definitely your best overall option for craft beer in the Upstate. |
84 Good selection of beers, not much else to say about this place, go check it out if you’re in the area. |
72 Nice store...a good temp controlled room for the high-end beers. Good selection, but rarely any gems. |
74 Odd duck. Large selection but little of note. A couple pricy Cascade fruit sours, but almost no local or even regional beer. Only singles in the cooler, no mixed sixes etc. Discount for cash/debit. |
