Large, new tap room on Hennepin. The sweet stout was good, the hoppy beers may need some work. Not much service, but it is a tap room. There is potential here.

Large taproom in the bottom of a multi-use building. A nice patio outside for seating. Service was not particularly great but the place was swamped. A good number of beers on tap with flights available. No food on site but food trucks are often present. Prices are in line with the area.

Visited one week after their grand opening. Headflyer’s customer space is fairly large, with communal seating and a patio. Unlike a lot of other local breweries, big screen TVs are prominently displayed, so this wouldn’t be a bad spot to catch a game. The 8ish beers on tap spanned a fairly wide range of styles (wit, porter, saison, a couple of different IPAs). Flights and large pour sizes were available at prices in line for the area. Unfortunately, the beer quality left a lot to be desired, and I don’t think that I finished any beers in my flight. These guys are just getting up and running, so perhaps they’ll raise the bar a bit. At present, I can’t strongly recommend a visit.

Very cool taproom. 9 beers on already with flights and individual small pours. Beers are okay, better than many new breweries lately.

This is a great location on Hennepin in an industrial area where more breweries may find space in the future. Some nice outdoor seating on an elevated deck. Only tried the two hoppy beers; their west coast style was all caramel malt and their east coast style was too yeasty-muddy with low quality hops. Good service. The breezy patio ambiance is enjoyable and because it is more easily accessible than other NE breweries I might find myself here again sooner than the beer quality - at this early point - would suggest.
