A easy 15min wlak from Schloss Sanssouci. Large compound with different rooms. Unfortunately they had an Easter Market so we had two pay an extra 2€ to get in. 2 beers on tap with below average quality. Service didnt know anything about the beers as i asked how they are fermented. My mums coffee was undrinkable. Good setting nonetheless.

We visited this place for desserts, and we got a pretty good apfelstrudel. They only had two beers on, and they were below average. The service was inefficient, even though there was plenty of available space. We sat outside in the beautiful court.

Nice place in a complex a bus ride from the Hbf in Potsdam. Visited on a Saturday afternoon in July 2015. Large terrace which we sat in, service was quick, 2 beers available which were ok. Tried the cheese dish for lunch which was a little odd, beer and onion marinated cheese. It’s a nice place but wouldn’t dash back.

Located in Sanssouci Park, within a walking distance from the castle, the brewpub attracts large groups of tourists visiting this historical site. The interior features a large dining hall with game trophies on the walls, and long, wooden tables to serve the food and the beer on. The former is decent but rather expensive. The latter is limited to two variants, Helles and Dunkles, both drinkable but not very impressive. The staff are busy, as could be expected in this kind of place. A reasonable experience, possibly to be repeated when I become rich.

A freezing Sunday afternoon (19th Jan 2014) saw us walk down to this brewpub from the bus stop by the Schloss Orangie visitor centre. It was a welcome sight because the wind chill was becoming a problem. Once inside we warmed up and looked around: what a beautiful building, like a long hunting lodge, high ceilings and animal heads along the walls. Spotlessly clean, airy and bright: furnished with heavy wooden chairs and tables. Two regular beers and one not on the menu, but posted on the board outside, which we missed on the way in. Luckily I asked if they had any seasonal beers available and I’ve become the first person on ratebeer to have their ’Neu Jahres Bier’. We didn’t eat but what food we saw looked hearty, heavy and very Germanic. The beers were all fine and I highly recommend a trip out to Potsdam to any beer drinkers who are visiting Berlin, the brewpubs are worth the effort to get out here.

Visited this place just before running the Berlin Maraton 2009. The brewpub is placed in a large castle area, and therefore also a bit touristed. We only tried the beers, but they do food as well, traditionel german food. The staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the beers. There is a large seating area outside, which was very nice on this warm, sunny september day. We visited in the mornings, but I would imagine it can be very busy later on in the day..

Food prices were high (tourist central, of course) and occasionally ridiculous (€9,50 for Currywurst is over a 400% markup) but my Nürnberger were indeed good (and the mound of Sauerkraut they’d been heaped upon even moreso) and the beers, while not terribly good, were fairly priced. A little out of the way and full of old people, but that’s who visited Sanssouci today. Service was good.

Big tourist-minded operation with lots of busy waiters. Classic beer hall atmosphere and lots of outdoor seating. Decent food and decent beer, though expensive. The Braunbier is historical, though not particularly exciting

Big place close to the Sansouci, and a good excuse to visit the site. But if you can, also take the bus or drive to Potsdam’s other brewpub, the Braumanufaktur Forsthaus Templin, which is a better brewery.
