82 Sports bar multitapper I like it! Watching hockey in the desert. Food was solid, good beer destination. Staff were nice. |
78 Sports bar setup. Clean. Decent number of taps, lots of local, including some exclusive ’blends’. Food and beer deals almost every day. Taps rotate frequently. Regularly find some gems. |
82 Nice place to enjoy a great brew! Friendly staff; great selection and decent american fare food. |
38 Stopped by with the intention of having a beer and possibly an appetizer. The place was fairly busy but we grabbed a seat in the bar area. Service was horrible, after sitting there tying to flag down someone for 20 minutes we left. The beer selection looked just ok, mostly mass market craft offerings. Really sad that the service sucked so bad. |
86 I really like this place. Well wrth a detour to find. |
90 Another great beer bar. Jim the owner is an ultimate craft beer lover and he has numerous rotating taps, specials daily, including $3 Wednesdays for every craft beer on draft. Awesome wings, plenty of TVs for the sports lover in you and great times all around. |
90 I have been to the Hungry Monk in Chandler now about 20 times so i feel ready to review the joint.
When you walk in this place it looks like your average sports bar with TV’s plastered all over the walls with sports on every one. Not a problem for me, i love sports. I knock this place a bit for service because they are under staffed alot but the staff is pretty great and do their best. The food is pretty good. Boneless wings are nice chunks of breast meat. Pulled pork sandwich is money as well. Beer selection is very good with 28 taps and about 10 of them rotate. They do 3 dollar beers on Wednesdays and i have had everything from Abyss to Hopslam for that price. Overall this is my go to place on Wednesday and one of my favorite spots overall. They are kinda pricey on other days but the selection is top notch. The owner is a huge hop head and has a great deal of influence in what they serve, Sometimes they have 10 good IPA’s on at once. Cheers

72 It’s a craft beer sports bar. Although they have plenty of BMC in bottles they keep the taps, with a couple of exceptions, free of BMC. They had 20+ taps of local and regional crafts. They also host a lot of craft beer events. The service was kind enough especially during an NFL staff though I didn’t see the bartender displaying any great craft beer knowledge. Still it’s a pretty solid option and I wish more sports bars had their philosophy of beer. |
90 Stopped in for lunch one day and sat at the bar. Really nice open space with lots of great beers on tap. Service was good and the bartender was very attentive. Solid place and I’d go again for sure. |
86 I am little biased because I work here but I could still only give the service an 8 because of the average beer servers knowledge. The selection is constantly rotating and Jim takes care to try and land anything specialty. I just had Judgement Day from Port Lost Abbey and Hop in the Dark from Deschutes there and no matter the quality or ABV on wednesdays every tap is 3$. I am pretty sure that they have 30 taps and not 21 but I will verify that before I change the information. The food is excellent here no matter what I have ordered and the Monk is only going to get better. There plans to add a rare bottles fridge and the Monk is taping Dogfish 120 on thursday at 6pm |
