Decent bar, ten beers on tap, round 40 bottled, crowded, traditional Dutch. (4-7-2020).

I visited mostly for their house beer but it was finished unfortunately. Weather was nice so most of the people were sitting out and it wasn’t tha busy to be honest. Friendly guys behind the bar, good prices. Selection was mostly dutch with some belgians, nothing new for me but I had the chance to revisit some good beer. I only see me going back in order to try their own beer though.

Visited a few times, place is small and always crowded. Bit too busy for my liking actually. No place to rest my old bones and moan. If you dig the crowd it’s a nice and active social hangout with a huge bar and quite some beer available. Last time there were some local Dutch micro’s on tap and some Belgian stuff I think. Once there don’t forget to tick their house beer huppAle!

Been here a few times but not that often as I’m not really into bar culture, especially not crazy crowded places like this. They do have a nice selection of beers though, whith their own beer and always some Dutch craft on guests. Huge selection of whisky is the main attraction though. While it can get super busy the atmosphere always seems to be nice.

Decent bar, more geared for whiskey but still nice beer list (although much of regular stuff) changing taps offerings. Tried one of their own beers, which was served too cold, and thus not the best we had that evening. Nice service, OK, we visited, but will we go again?

Visited on Saturday 26/09/15 around 11pm. Small back street bar, you could hardly move inside it was so popular, many folks including ourselves spilled out into the narrow street where we managed to grab a bench. House beer on offer - Huppale from Kompaan, and the other beer (s) of interest were from the local abbey brewer a baltic porter in a bottle on this visit. Aside from those a few tried and trusted taps and bottles but no other new ticks IIRC. Service seemed to be quite good considering the crowds although Kermis sorted a round of drinks for us quickly. Well worth a visit, good lively atmosphere but a bit too busy for my liking.

Visited after midnight on a Saturday. Insanely packed, crazily so, hard to move around. They appear to have one house beer which is supposedly great but they were out of that one. They also carry a beer from a small local brewery which sees almost no distribution & was quite lovely. Selection seemed to be largely standard otherwise. I heard a lot of lovely things about the owners. As mentioned above the place was just too crowded to get much feel of the place. You might want to go here earlier on the day. Overall decent. People had great things to say about these guys.

Tiny bar on the older streets of Den Haag. Very crowded on a Saturday night but a good atmosphere. The bar staff knew Chris (Kermis) and we got served quickly. There was a wonky table outside to sit at whilst we enjoyed the Huppale and the Porter brewed down the road. Inside was waaaaaay too crowded. Overall definitely worth a visit but if you can I would come here out of peak hours.

Visited on a saturday afternoon. Nice small dutch old brown bar, nicely decorated bar, wooden seats. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, good service. Decent range in the small selection, having some modern Dutch micros next to the regular Belgian stuff. Would definitely visit again.

Small bar right downtown Den Haag. Good music, lively ambiance, even on a Tuesday. Not a huge beer selection but a nice selection of Dutch micros. If you come here you really should try the Haagsche Broeder Prior beer from the brewery up the street. They have some other good Dutch stuff like Oedipus and Kompaan. Prices are decent, especially considering the very central location. Fun place, worth a pop in at least if you are in the area, I will revisit.
