Isley Brewing Company

Another r purposed light industrial space in Scott's Addition. Simple, sparse interior, but roomy. Music and TVs going. No parking issues. Fast, friendly service. Flights, nice variety.

Small but friendly brewery in the north end of Scott's Addition. Very friendly guys in here. They do flights and have a bunch of stuff you won't find elsewhere. Stuff verges on mostly average with a few quite good beers, the dark stuff.

One of the breweries in the brewery district in Richmond, probably my least favorite of the bunch (not sure I went to all of them though. But not as good as Vasen, The Veil, Ardent). A smaller establishment, it was fairly quiet on a Sunday early afternoon. Beer list seemed less interesting than other breweries, more standard beer styles. I got Choosy Mother, which was good. It's still a fine stop, but would rank it behind at least 3 others in the vicinity.

This place is close to Ardent and not too far from The Veil. Nice vibe. Very busy on Saturday afternoon with the mixed crowd. The flights of six available. Beers are from average to good. No Wifi.

Beers were okay I guess. Nothing to get excited over. They try. Not the best brewery in the area, but not bad either.

Yet another brewery easily walkable from The Veil, although I drove because of the shittiness of the weather. Street parking available. Also a bit industrial. Busy, but not crowded, on a Thursday. Flights of six available, about 3-4 ounce pours I would say. 8 beers on tap when I was there. Beer quality ranged from quite solid to meh. Service was good. No complaints here, it just has a hard time competing for kudos when so close to Veil and Ardent. Perhaps a bit vanilla in the beer style selection.

Packed on a Saturday afternoon. Fairly large space with adequate table seating. Friendly staff. Played jenga at the table. Some interesting beers on tap. Pay attention to which line you get in, as the line for the unisex bathrooms is right next to the line for the bar orders.

Been here a few times now and they seem to be getting better. Decent service, nice area. On my last visit, they had some fun new things on tap. I can’t believe I actually liked the Choosy Mother and I liked the smoked barleywine. Prices are average.

At bit off the beaten path in an industrial area. Nice size tasting room, plenty of seating. Patio in the back.
