82 Very nice beer store in Silicon Valley. Great location in downtown Mountain View. Lots of singles. Most of the beer is refrigerated. Great selection of barrel aged, sours, hazies and foreign beers. Small but very good. |
72 I agree with Mercutio. This place had acceptable selection - nice mead shelf - but most of what's here you can get from elsewhere. If you have to buy beer in the Valley, go to one of the places in Redwood City or Willows Market, not here. |
70 When it was new about 5 years ago this place was fully stocked with a great selection. They might have only just rated a 90 score back then. Each time I’ve come back there are less and less beers. More Scandinavian selections than is usual. There’s ususally some interesting Euro product, IPAs are in coolers, some glassware, a little overrated I think. I’ve left empty handed my last couple visits. Super annoying (like autism spectrum) slow checkout every single time I’ve been. Their Point of Sale system is a POS. Receipts only by email. Pffft. |
88 Nice little beer store just off the main drag. Small, but well stocked and organized in a logical manner. Everything easy to find and clearly priced. Good selection of styles. Staff was helpful. |
92 A little dark ray of hope in Downtown Mountain View. The selection here is unique, saw lots of Hitachino, B. Nektar, and bunch of local CA stuff. Plus the dude at the register was wearing a Death shirt and blasting metal. The only drawback to this place is how small it is. |
86 Tiny beer shop in downtown Mountain View. Wasn’t really expecting much here, but thought it was quite a nice place to buy some beers.
A good mix of cold storage and beers out on the shelf, as well as plenty of six packs and single offerings. All of the typical players are present here but a lot of interesting stuff from outside the state and country. Cool things from Alvinne, Uinta, Hitachino, Mikkeller, and Omnipollo, to name a few. Prices were pretty fair, I thought. <br. Knowledgeable staff working in the shop and very helpful. If I had a reason to be in the area more often, I would certainly come by frequently. |
84 Visited the 19th November 2015 - Good place on a commercial street with a really good selection of beer American and really great selection of Belgium beers. Really good beers and good price. The place is nice with a good atmosphere. Staff is smart and very helpful. I really appreciate to visit this place. Special distinction for the music. Thanks to make this place nice. I will try to visit it again! |

This is a pretty cool new spot in Mountain View. One of the better beer stores on the peninsula for sure. It’s surprising that he can stay in business just selling beer and nothing else (minus some glasses and tshirts). There are some shelves in the middle of the store and around edges of the room are some fridges and more shelves. I saw everything from the big California stuff to Logsdon to Mikkeller, to Cascade and Anchorage. Oh, and they have Kriek de Ranke. Awesome. I bought two beers: a Mystic beer and a barleywine from some local brewery. The guy that was working is a metal fan too. Cool spot. I’ll have to make sure to stop back in again. |
82 (Visited 08/2014): Jane’s Beer Store is located in Mountain View on Villa between Blossom and Hope. Street parking is available in the surrounding streets. The inside of the store is small, with shelves around the perimeter and in the middle, and some coolers on the left. Some glassware is for sale in the glass counter. The store stocks around 500 different beers. Lots of breweries from CA represented like Alesmith, Bruery, Firestone Walker, FiftyFifty and Lagunitas, plus many other domestic craft breweries and imports. Service on a weekday afternoon was good. The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. All in all this shop was a nice find and I would visit again. |
82 Not very big, but plenty to choose from. Lots of Lost Abbey/Port Brewing, Firestone, Alesmith, and even had some Stillwaters and De Molens I’ve never seen. It’s a little expensive, but it’s the best show in town |
