Les Bières de Célestin

Lieu très agréable avec un beau choix de bières que l'on ne trouve pas partout dont les bières brassées sur place. de la boutique, on peut voir le brassage en cours, c'est très sympa. Frigos disponibles pour acheter des bières fraîches.

Nicely located in Lille-Vieux. When entering the door, a nice smell of malts and hops stream into your nose. Classic music is playing. Owner is very friendly and likes to give advice. Selection is mostly French and Belgian and also English, American and Japanese. Brewery is located in the shop.

Very small bottle shop in Vieux-Lille, down a side street literally round the corner from Bellerose and not far from La Capsule. Well-chosen selection of modern French craft, lots of new breweries for me, including some of their own plus some growlers. No draft though. Other shelf space is devoted to selected Belgian, Scandinavian and Dutch offerings with a handful of UK beers. Prices generally ok, though can approach the €10 mark for some barrel-aged beers. An essential stop for anyone searching for good French craft.

Gelegen in het oude centrum van Lille vlak bij La Capsule. Kleine propere shop met achteraan een groot raam dat uitzicht bied op de brouwerij. Vriendelijke bediening in gebrekig Engels. Naast hun eigen bieren, veel keuze uit Belgisch en Franse bieren.

small but clean shop in Lille, pretty close to la capsule. The service was helpfull, but didn’t speak that good english, and didn’t seem to be the biggest beer conneseur. Still nice service though, don’t wanna rip on them. The beers provided were a lot of belgians, some other EU beers ( UK, mostly) and of course French. A few americans in between. Decent, but not great. they have their own beers (didn’t buy them) which they brew themselves. I was looking to the bottles to much and seemed to have mist the open view to the Brewery in the back, apparently.

Great beer shop with Micro brewery to the rear. Their own beers are good and it is great to see a city brewery in Lille producing interesting quality beers. The shop selection is tremendous with a World emphasis rather than going down the easy Belgian route.
