70 A great place to go for craft and import beers as they had coolers of beer from the front of the store to the back and a long shelf of imports and bombers. Lots of local beers can be found here as well as specialty beers. I do have to admit though that the store is kinda hidden and not seen from the road. Went in there on a Saturday night and the place was without customers. Still, they had what I wanted. |
80 Very large selection of craft beers as well as imports. Cold selection could be expanded. Very friendly staff. |
74 This is a big warehouse type building with beers on the right side of the store. They have lots of room here. The selection is good. Better than BevMo. They have plenty of local and international beers present. I found some Feather River stuff and some unique Mount Shasta stuff. They also have Etna. I also managed to find some Batch #1 Ommegeddon! While this is a score for me, it also should serve as a warning that there may also be old beer here. I saw some Sac Brewing Red Horse Ale on the floor, which has been out of business nearly 6 months. Neverthless, the service was good, as I was asked twice by 2 different employees if I needed any help. Likely the best beer place within a 2 hour driving radius. |
74 they could do a whole lot better |
76 You can get lots of NorCal and Southern OR beers here. Some Rogues I haven’t seen anywhere, and some obscure brewers as well. Great selection, lots of stock and on par with Bottle Barn in SR. |
80 Huge selection of bad beers and Malt Liquors. Also has big selection of Micros. The store is the size of a Safeway. Also has many rare bottles of Hard Liquor and Wines. The best store in NorCal for sure. |
62 Quite a decent selection of No. and So. Cal. beers. Little from across the pond. Several Alesmith some Deschutes Etnas others. I found one new one. Six months ago many would have been new. They still had Deschutes 19th Ann. in the cooler. |
64 Good selection in an old building that seems to need a little bit of renovation. Great selection of some of the harder to find brews. I was very surprised to find at least 7 varieties of Alesmith, some Stone and Lagunitas. Definately worth a stop if you’re in the area. |
68 Decent selection, good service varies...depends on who is working. Not a whole lot of glassware selection, but more than most places in Redding. Prices aren’t spectacular, but are still within reason. |
92 UPDATED COMMENT: Ok it’s been 6 years since I have rated this place- (Today’s date is July 13, 2012) Wow... Blair has certainly kicked it up several notches when it comes to selection. By far the best in Redding, and in the North State! It’s been nearly 2.5 years since I have visited the store... (Bev Mo is not even 1/2 mile away from my home) but the Liquor Barn’s variety and selcetion blows Bev Mo away! It’s a bit more of a drive but the selection of Belgians is very much worth it. |
