70 A large pub feel to the place with a central bar and a few TVs throughout the spot. Place was packed on a Sunday afternoon. Service was a bit slow as they appeared a bit overwhelmed with the crowd. Had 8 of their own taps and flights of 5 were available for a fair price. Did not try the food on my visit. A decent spot. |
68 Heritage hotel & brewpub in The Rocks. Around 8-10 taps of their own beers. I tried two, both pretty underwhelming. Maybe I just made some poor picks. Service was friendly |
64 Well-known old brewpub and hotel. Rather spartan interior for such a venerable establishment. Own beers are ok and of various styles, nice if you need a break from IPA. Fine place for a pit stop if you’re in the area, but nothing special. |
56 The place is rather nice, to bad the beers isnt. Old building holding an english style pub. Big bar in the middle of the room, good number of seating inside and on the walkway. Rather crowded on a saturday night. About 10 beers on tap, some bottles to. A flight of 4 beers is avaible for 15 dollars.. Beer quality is pretty poor to average, thin, sourish, butterish. Alright service. I dont see myself coming back here. |
76 Drinks on 22-Feb-2017. Pub with decent character and an outside seating area on the street. Large choice of draught beers and also some bottles. Friendly staff. Beer is popular, but nothing amazing. |
66 Very very busy pub in The Rocks. Twice visited (midday Saturday, 1PM Friday) twice no seating inside. Their beers are nice but the scrum of suits having long lunches tests the patience of staff and beer aficionados alike. Perhaps try on a Tuesday (about 11.30 AM). |
72 An iconic brewery pub that is a must visit for beer lovers. |
52 Quaint little English style pub with 6 house beers on tap. You can do a flight of 4 for $16, which is typical for the city. Service was decent and the beer quality was rather boring but competent. Not a necessary stop, but it’s all around decent experience. |
70 Visited on Sunday 20th March 2016. Large old brewpub in the Rocks. It’s a solid old stone building. Has a central bar with seating all around plus a bistro upstairs. 7 of their own beers on. Prices not too bad. Beers were decent enough quality. Place was packed and couldn’t get a seat so left after a quick drink. Will visit again as I like the place. |
88 Visited both Oct -12 and Oct -15. Yet another one of the places mentioned when talking about Sydney’s oldest hotel/pub. Home of the Three Sheets that many love, but if only having one I can recommend Victory Bitter if available. Now serves sample paddles! Latest visit had late lunch, food was good. |
