Lucua Food Hall Kitchen and Market

Market type setup right near CBM in Lucua. There is a sort-of bottle shop with some basic Japanese stuff and a few common imports for average prices. Near the back is a bar with pseudo-craft options. Worth a stop for a road soda but no need to go out of your way.

For a food/market hall in a basement of a department store the atmosphere here is pretty good. The general theme is Italian Market Hall so I had some good foccaccia pizza and a beer. I like you can drink it. The taps and bottles are on the boring/standard side, especially regarding J-craft but they had a few random French & Italian brews I'd not seen elsewhere in Kansai. If you're at Lucua CBM you may as well stroll over here for take-out brews if you're not in the mood to go to CBB...

This is a large, busy food court, just about 20 meters west of CBM Lucua. Many restaurants and stores and at least one bar are thrown together, and you are generally free to buy from whichever place you like and sit and eat and drink, if you can manage to find a seat. The bar in the center has a handful of taps, including the J-Craft series and some crafty stuff, including tasting sets. Not so great. There is a liquor shop with about 60 or more bottles of beer, about half of these Japanese craft and the other half imports. These are sold at retail price, so a very good deal, with no corkage free to drink in. Food also is very good and reasonably priced with lots of variety. Good place to hang out and sample bottled beers.
