Similar selection to Whole Foods. Almost everything is in 4 packs, which is not good for rating. Good selection about 10 cooler doors of beers. Some Pliny the Elder (which is everywhere now). Lots of large micros: Stone, lagunitas, dogfish head. Decent selection of barebottle beers. 1 cooler door of macro. Meh.

This is actually a Lunardi’s now but it has a pretty legitimate bottle selection for a grocery store so I’ll just rename it. The beer aisle is separate from the wine, cheese, and liquor section in the middle of the store. The beer aisle is pretty impressive upon first inspection with two sides of a decently long aisle, both refrigerated. The only things not kept cold are the stack of St Bernardus 12 750’s and Murphy’s cans. They have some good stuff here like Lagunitas Sucks, Lagunitas Daytime, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, Firestone Sucuba, and...Pliny the Elder... Seriously? What kind of grocery store gets Pliny. So awesome. The rest of the stuff is good as well but not quite as awesome as the other stuff listed. Stone, Ballast Point, Heretic, Dogfish Head, and a bunch of others. I didn’t see any malt liquors or macros, which surprised me about as much as the presence of Pliny but there was a guy at the end of the aisle stocking the shelf and I didn’t walk around him to see what was there.

Alright, I know I have a tendency to be a little less hateful than the average rater here but this isn’t bad for a grocery store. In fact, it’s pretty good for a grocery store (in terms of beer selection, I don’t shop at Lunardis). However for a beer-centric shop I don’t think it’s going to become my regular stop. But then again, if I can get Pliny here on a regular basis it might be my stop when I’m in SJ on work.

Grocery store with small, mostly common imports and micros but does carry some nice bombers and a couple of Firestone, Alaskan and Drakes six packs. All refrigerated and prices are decent, not too far from the airport
