Mellow Mushroom - Mt. Pleasant

Generally a pretty solid tap list, although some of the more interesting beers can sit around for a long time. Serve their beer too cold IMO, and depending on the bartender, in a frozen/chilled mug. One of the few options for craft on this side of town, and if you want a craft beer and have kids in tow is a solid option.

This was one of my best visits to a Mellow Mushroom. Ambiance is typical of the chain but a little more conservative to blend in with the rest of Mt. Pleasant. This location prides itself more heavily in rotating its beer with an eclectic lineup more than most others that I’ve visited. Mellow Mushroom seems to either do the bare minimum in getting good beer or just getting hundreds of different beers. This one finds a happy medium which I definitely appreciate. There are going to be some good beers on such as Stone, COAST, Bells, Bear Republic along with a respectable import draft selection. We had a great time here watching USA kick some butt in FIBA.
