68 Cool spot, somewhat grungy feeling, but with a decent atmosphere. We were the only patrons on a Thursday afternoon at 5pm. 10 taps, mostly their own, but some guests. Everything is available in 12.5cl pours for €2-4, a great option for raters. Beer quality ranged from average to good, with a very nice low ABV house pale ale and a good west coast IPA as well. Friendly service, with broken English spoken. Solid spot but not a top one in the city. |
80 Visited on a Tuesday evening (basically Untappd badge-whoring as they had their own badge). 10 lines, 3 their own and 7 from various French brewers. Had a Bendorf there that I really dug and the other non-Balthazar beer I had was also excellent (a Russian imperial stout which was actually served at a noticeably warmer temp than the other beers, which shows some nice attention to detail).
I had the Balthazar hibiscus Berliner Weisse which did not work for me but there's enough other stuff here that it's worth a stop if you want a change from the other excellent places nearby.
Staff was friendly and spoke English.
They did small pours of everything (could get 12.5, 25 or 50 cl). |
