Modern Times - The House of Perpetual Refreshment

Always nice to try a new Modern Times establishment. This location is just a couple blocks from Drake's, so it's become a major craft beer spot. Huge interior, with lots of outside seating and standing room. About 20 taps when I visited (though a couple were empty), with everything available in 5 oz pours -- only one of which was one of their sexy pastry stouts, but they had more of those in cans to go. For the most part, high-quality beers as they've become known more. Prices are exorbitant, especially for their sexier beers ($6-8 per 5 oz pours for their BA / pastry stuff). Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Must visit when in Oakland.
