72 Sort of cool vibe, laid back slick pizza place. Had only one of their own beers on tap which was served Sake style. I liked that. Might have been brewed at HUB. Had maybe 10 other solid taps. The pizza was good. Medium priced. Easy to find. Solid place, good potential. I'd like to see their own beers shine. |
64 Not brewing yet, but they have their own beer made at HUB. Went during lunch, which was kind of healthy-veggie and aimed at female young office workers. I was the only one there not in that category, I think. Tasty but small for the price. Beer selection was decent enough a were the prices. No cover charge if you eat. Let’s see how they do when they start brewing (supposedly) in Spring 2018. |
60 Another new brewpub and like many of the others, it hasn’t started brewing yet. Their house beer is listed on the menu as having a recipe made by the brewer from HUB and is ’being brewed now’, but not on site judging by the look of it. A kind of fancy set up in a quiet area (at least at the weekend). Counter for maybe 15, a couple of big communal tables and some smaller ones too. 13 taps, one of their own (not avaiable), 7 or 8 of Japanese stuff from Baird, Hitachino and Ushitora (...) and a few US imports. Pricing seems quite reasonable, but then you find out that a ¥350 cover charge is added and then tax added on top of that. One medium beer ended up costing over ¥1000. No ml measurement of the servings, but I’d say probably around 250ml, 350m and UK pint. When they start brewing I might pop back to try the house beer, but the unexciting guest beers, out of the way location and pricing means that I might not bother. Nothing so bad, but just not much to set it apart. |
