76 Located off 30th Street, which itself makes a great crawl, North Park is a recent entry to this scene: it is a large venue with a long bar situated among a sleek and woody interior. Enjoyed several quality brews, such as the Ride the Tiger Double IPA, Burlingame Black Lager and three others, all served as full pours or tasters. Great food and service are a plus. Swanky padded bar stools - really chairs make for a comfortable place to hang out - but there are so many other places to hi |
82 Large, open hipster place in North Park serving great beers. The food is actually from Mastiff so it is a different establishment, but it is good. Friendly service, though not to your table. Get up and get me a beer damnit. |
76 Upscale and trendy with lots of dark wood. A good place to hang out and spend some time. No flights but smaller pours. A great place but not necessarily a good ticking spot. |
80 Visited during RBWG 2018. Very hipster vibe to this place, large taproom next to the brewery. Lots of restaurant tables and a small roped off serving bar. Separate contract kitchen churning out very tasty sausage plates among other things. Good range of beer styles available in small or large pours rather than flights. Guest taps also. Worth a stop. |
80 Looks like some money went into this place. Woah. The place itself is huge and very classy (can't believe I'm actually able to use that word to describe a beer place). Dark stained wood bar and tables, high ceilings, feels quite open but also able to accommodate large crowds. A bit of a mid-century modern feel, if you will.
They have a ton of beers on here, many of their own and a number of guest taps as well. I got a flight of their house beers. I guess I was hoping for more as the brewer has a bit of a pedigree and has made a name for himself in San Diego/SoCal anyway from his homebrewing days. Nothing was bad, just a bit rough on some things (e.g., hoppy beers a little too assertive and bitter). Overall, though, this place has a lot of promise and I've heard the food is also quite good. I would recommend stopping in. If nothing else, North Park has so many beer places, you'll probably be in the area anyway. |
74 Large place with wooden interior. Visited in the afternoon, not many people inside. They had 16 taps, North Park and guests which included Pugachev Cobra. Flights available. Their beers were solid. worth checking out if you have the time. |
76 A refurbished old building with lots of old wood features that give a nice feel to the place. The service was a bit slow but they did know the beers. They had 15ish beers on tap and flights were available. The had a nice looking menu but we weren’t hungry when we visited. Prices were inline with others in the area. A pretty solid spot. |
76 Visited on a relaxed Tuesday early afternoon in late January 2017. I liked this place, it was clean and with friendly service. The beers were decent. Located close to many other interesting beer places. |
