76 Solid bar in Dublin. Sort of a confusing place - lots of seating areas, a small bar, very crowded. They have a pretty long list of taps maybe 20. All of them were Irish craft beer, so we got to try a variety of different Irish breweries. The food service was very confusing. Most people were ordering from a cafeteria style line, where you could pick an entree and a few side dishes from a buffet. The line did get super long at times. You could also order from a menu at your table, but only if the dish wasn't part of the buffet. Anyway, the Irish meat pie and veggies was very delicious, and plenty of food. Solid stop for classic Irish food and Irish craft beer. |
60 Stopped in here for a bite to eat and see it's on RB, score. A fairly big place with many small rooms. Ordering food is a little difficult. Either stand in line at the food bar and pick out what to eat or order made to order food. For this option I had to cut the food line to get to the cashier and order. The line of people behind me wasn't too happy though.
A decent beer selection of Irish craft beers. |
70 Large place, lots of wood. Visited near the closing time so it wasn't very busy. Selection is OKish, had a beer from Trouble brewing, not sure if it was in the best condition. Many usual suspects on taps. Not bad for a quick place tick, skip it otherwise. |

68 Visited August 2016. Crowded maze of different rooms filled with beer paraphernalia. Lots of taps with interesting beers on them. I liked the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere of this place - people of all ages, whole families etc. Didn't have the food. Expensive, like all of Ireland. |
60 Big place, nice sofa and table, more whisky than beer.nice people |
60 A typical pub, many small rooms and lots of wooden panels. Ok service and acceptable selection. |
82 This bar is located in the most touristy area in Dublin so it will be busy pretty much always. They have an excellent selection of beers, many Irish beers, including IPAs, black IPAs and a good select of bottles. Staff is pretty knowledgeable, fast and easy going. This is my regular watering hole in Dublin. |
80 A nice traditional pub and off course the tourists are present. ManVsBeer has given a good deScription of this labyrinth of a pub. I liked it. Friendly service at the bar, music played at comfortable sound level, lots of Irish craft beers and tasty Irish stew. (Visited February 16th 2016) |
50 The beer selection here is ok, but since most bars in Dublin are now selling some craft beer, it’s hard to justify going to O’Neill’s for the beer alone. And there are not many other reasons to go. Typically packed with tourists, or rugby fans, and uncomfortably hot. If watching rugby and smelling other people’s sweat is your thing, you may well like O’Neill’s. |
