Panda Bar

A tiny little spot in the middle of the hutong. Not really much too it and not much if anything on tap. Just bottles and a small list at that. Not really a great stop with the brewpub being so close, but a place to get cheap bottles to go. No CC, didn't ask about wifi as I didn't stick around. Almost no English at all, we had to use the translators to just manage me buying a bottle.

The brewery beers here are not bad but other than that there’s not a lot to recommend of this tiny little bar in the Wudaoying hutong , unless you are up for watching how twenty-something hipsters operate in Beijing. There’s no food, about four tables, and most people seem to buy bottled take away beers for drinking as they wander down the hutong. Part of the reason for this is likely due to the positively awful pop music that drowns out the bar (you know you’re in trouble when you’re thankful that they start playing Whitney Houston). The experience wasn’t helped by the fact that two of the beers I asked for out of about eight on offer weren’t available. The beer is decent but there are better craft beer venues in Beijing.
