Last Visit 11 Feb 2020 Another place I never reviewed before .. visited first time in 2006 when was the Milton Brewery Tap Room with good old style beer and even the food was ok , now the local Five Points brewery took over the place and you can get more modern beers in a old fashioned building and pub ! Did not try the food

Old building and a fairly retro feel. Big bench tables. Reminds of an open plan working men’s club, just with lots of windows.

My second visit in Dec 2019, 1st one was some years ago. Quite large pub, The Five Points Brewing Company's house tap. Interesting music played: lad rock, Cure, progressive rock ... The Five Points Best Fuggles version is smooth and hoppy.

Large open plan pub on the intersection of five roads. The pub was apparently modernised when Five Points took over a couple of years back, the place has retained much of it's character. It was busy with a nice buzz of conversation on a Saturday afternoon recently. Around 6 or 7 beers on cask with a few more choices on tap. Five Points beers well represented. Friendly service

wandered down here for some grub after Day 2 of the Pigs Ear. It happened to be Five Points five year anniversary, so they had some nice collab brews on. Pizza was nice and super fast. Nice corner location. If it was a pub before, its been gutted to a modern bar and tables and chairs.. Pretty cozy

Is now the main outlet for the near-by Five Point Brewery. We were here at the opening on a Friday afternoon with free pizzas and beers. Same bar room, nicely renovated and still with the smell of fresh paint. Good range of their own beers and also quite a few guest beers. (Visited with Finn 28.09.2018).

Pembury Tavern is definitely a must-visit pub in London for real ale lovers. It is easy to get there with your tube card from Liverpool Street Railway station to Hackney Downs station on the over ground rail (zone two, about eight minutes). At least eight hand pulled cask ales, most of them from Milton, but also including guest beers from Milestone (during my visit), all in perfect quality. Some interesting bottled beers from Germany and Belgium. Informal, charming and airy place with a laid back, relaxing interior. Music free (at least during our visit early on a Tuesday afternoon). Walls and roof decorated with a decent collection of pump clips. Good food (beacon and cheese sandwich). Excellent service (12.08.2008).

Large corner pub overlooking a busy fork in the road. The building is lovely enough for the area, but the large spacious open plan ground floor room was looking quite worn when I visited in May 2018 - seems to have changed hands since. Several cask ales mostly from the Milton range on my visit.

Oct.2018 update : Now run by the excellent Five Points brewey, Milton having sold it. Aside from the beer not a lot has changed to the pub, though was a lot busier than I can remember! OLD RATING : Good spacious pub with guest beers and usually good quality Milton beers. Not quite as avant garde as Cock Tavern in more ways than one... The beers tend to be more yesteryear but that will suit some tastes. If you have time worth a visit.

Visited on 6th August 2017 and been here a few times before. Large single roomed corner pub a couple of mins from Hackney Downs. It's a little run down inside with shabby decor and a mixed clientele. Food is served by way of pizzas which I seem to remember are reasonable value. Beer range has a couple of guests plus between 6 and 10 Milton cask beers and a couple of keg beers and lagers. Beer quality is decent, prices decent. It's a decent local pub and worth a look if in the area
