28 Really wasn’t impressed by this place. The brews were pretty awful. I make better home brew. |
66 Interesting Hotel in Port Adelaide. Food is pretty good Hotel fair.Port dock stout is the stand out beverage |
64 Similar to one in perth, nice little brewy pub |
56 A nice big pub in Port Adelaide that has some decent ales and stouts. The food is actually quite good as well. Well worth a stop if in the port town. |
64 Big pub, friendly staff and very decent beers. Brewer was a great bloke, enthusiastic and happy to have a chat. Perhaps a bit sterile, and the pokies don’t help the atmosphere at all. Outside is nice.

56 Very similar to Fremantle in which there is almost a pub on every corner. Easy enough to find and the service was friendly. They have half a dozen of there beers which weren’t all that awful. |
44 A small treasure of a pub in a city absolutely overwhelmed with ’burb’ drearyness.
The real drawcard here is that there is a selection of boutique beers brewed on site. This is probably the only place in Adelaide where this happens so it is well worth a gander.
The beers themselves are interesting and diverse. The originally (sic) named Port Dock Ale is the standard brew and from there you can try a selection of the in house brewer’s delights.
Perhaps the greatest part of this joint is it gives the locals an opportunity to sample some different amber other than the local big brewries horse p**s.
While Australians love their beer unfortunately most of them drink the horribile lagers made by the biggies so here would be a good place to venture to learn something about ’real’ beer and their palate. |
58 Very old building is cool. People are very friendly, though I wouldn’t describe the ambiance as all that cool. Beers are OK, but not that exciting. Worth a look. |
