Prince Alfred (Young’s)

Beautiful building small selection of beers and pretty pricey. Worth a visit for the building but not one to come back to.

Visited on 8th January 2017. Large Youngs pub which is a maze of little areas all sectioned off with low doors and wooden panelling. We picked a seat in the front of the pub, to get to the toilet required a limbo under a low doorway. Really nice interior. The beer range was OK, nothing out of the ordinary but well kept and prices were decent. Good service. Another gem of a pub but not one for a beer geek.

Nice interior - high ceilings, low doors, decorated glass, wood. Youngs on cask and keg - including Youngs Chocolate Stout on keg, which I’ve not seen before. One guest keg. Nice place to visit but not one for the beer geeks.
