74 Had given up finding the place and went into Athens Sports Pub and saw Pulp actually being their neigbour. When I arrived the was only 1 guest sitting outside the pub. Dark wooden tables and high chairs outside. Inside also dark wooden furniture but I did not really look at it as I went straigt to the bar and ordered one of the Greek beers on tap. Ended up drinking a porter before I went back to my hotel. In the meantime I had a long chat with the friendly lady behind the bar and her husbond. They turned out to be the owners of the place. The bar room was quite cosy with a large amount of posters donated by guests. Nice music played at a sensible, high, but not too high level. I really liked the place. |

42 Close to Pantopolion, this place doesn’t seem to stick to their stated hours. Small taplist, not many Greek micros on tap, but a couple dozen bottles. Not a highlight hit in Athens, but it’s a decent place to hang out and have a beer. |
60 Nice bar, good service. 4 taps and about 30 bottles of various and good selection. nice music and atmosphere. Visited 02.11.2016. |
24 A lot of beers to choose!
But noone is there to help you with that..
Good position but the worst experience i ever had with waitress in Greece...
Although i was with friends (tourists) and i was trying to be friendly, so that they do not understand what she was telling in Greek, she was all the time unacceptable! |
52 Caught between two roads, which for me at least doesn’t help the atmosphere. Smoking too, always a downer. On top of that the music was Reggae, not for me.
Beer selection as mentioned by others is OK for mostly Czech and UK beers. |

64 Most beers are German or Czeck. They also have some good Greek beers. The service and atmosphere is good. It is not very surprising, but it’s a very pleasant place to drink a good beer. |
88 Superb bar. One of the best in Athens that I visited. No Greek Micros but that is more than made up for by the excellent range of German and especially Czech beers for the same price as Greek beer elsewhere in the city. Well worth a visit..
Please note that the entry for Pulp is a duplicate for this place. There are entry doors on both streets. Dimitrakopoulou is the other side of the building from Veikou!

92 Located at Koukaki area, just five minutes walk from the Acropolis museum, between two metro stations, Pulp Pub is one of the well hidden secrets of Athens. A very friendly place, specialized in Czech and German beers, adding a few excellent bottle selections of British and American ales regularly. Proper glassware is a plus, as well as live gigs and parties they have from time to time. Very friendly, helpful and well trained staff. It’s probably the first pub in Athens where I found a waitress actually have a strong opinion on the beers served. Last time I was there we chatted a lot, and exchanged opinions. Sakis, the owner, is a very pleasant and hard working guy, always willing to share his tips, his knowledge and his love for good beer. I love the decoration, the music and the indie-rock atmosphere. Cold cut, cheese and sausage varieties are tasty and affordable. Very fair prices are manifesting the owner’s motto "Keep the prices low, give quality brew to the people!". (last time I had a whole pint of Brew Dog’s Punk IPA for just 5 euros, when the average price I usually get for draft is no less than 6,5 e.), Even though the selection is not as big, there’s something special about this place. Yep, it has already become a second home to me! |
