66 Somewhere grimy vibe to it, and real small too. The beers were actually pretty decent, with flights available. Worth a stop but not my favourite LIC brewery. |
72 Second visit in 4 years. Place has not changed much. Refurbished old industrial area, with graffiti, wall paintings, long bar and high chairs. Good service, free wifi, 4 x 4 ounces for 12$. Bottles and cans to cans to go. Close to the Fifth Hammer and other LIC breweries. |

74 Small rather raw garage look / feel to it. Bar in the first room to the right as you enter, a few benches / tables to the left. Pet friendly, had both a cat and dog rooming around the bar at our visit. 8 beers on tap, some can and bottle pours from 2 Imperial stouts avaible. 4 pcs flight avaible at a fair price. Quality good, without been great. Good service and prices. Loved how the music was provided by vinyl records. Visited with Trapped on a early Thursday night - good times. |
74 Somewhat scruffy looking taproom with relaxed atmosphere. Staff seemed friendly. Tap list is not huge and beers seemed to be solid but not terribly exciting. Best was the Coffee Kölsch. Prices were reasonable. Worth a look if in the area. |
78 Cool place, not too far from Alewife and Transmitter. A pretty nice selection of beers. Lots of locals hanging out. |
70 Not a bad walk from Transmitter. Interesting space with what looks like a pop-up empanada stand and a pop-up skincare stand as you walk in. 10 beers on, flights of 4 (2 different pre-set options) cover 8 of the beers, the other two ’specialty’ beers are $6 for a half pint, so it’s pretty easy to try everything even if you’re by yourself. Cool crowd in the place, fairly young, a couple kids and a baby or two. They had a bike event going on upstairs while I was there with the inventor of a folding bike giving a presentation.
Beers were decent but not amazing. Worth a stop, but not highest on the list of the local places.

62 A hole in the wall place. Honestly could a be a lot a cleaner and without the pets.
The place is tiled in red with beer cans lining the walls. Be honest, it seems a bit like a renovated bathroom.
The beer is really nothing special but the staff is helpful and the tasting flights are cheap.
No food, but Osaka Food is on the second floor and supposedly pretty good.
Growlers and mason jars for takeaway. |
74 Visited 20160210. Small place in strange neighbourhood. Had 2 flights of 4 beer and 3 extra taps/bottle pours and surprisingly cask if I saw right. So totally 11-12 beers which were very cheap. Beers weren’t anything special expect the cream ale which was very good and perhaps the first cream ale which was that kind of beer that I have imagined cream ales should be. |
