Sakura Taps - Craft Beer & Coffee

Small place. Japanese patrons, maybe regulars? Mediocre Japanese-style bar food, the pickled vegetables were so-so. About 8 beers on tap or so.

I was really surprised by this place. About 8 beers on tap and six of which I had never tried before. Well thought out tap selection (should see if it is always this interesting or just the night I went). Nice that they have 150ml samples available. Nice staff. Stood outside. Worth a stop as it is very close to AA and El nubichimon.

Stopped in late one rainy night. There weren’t too many beers on at the time, but we stood and had one in fine condition and a nice chat with the bar man. Nice enough place.

This was a fun place to visit on a recent crawl around town. Very welcoming with a friendly owner and regulars happy to have a chat. Eight taps and got to try a cherry blossom beer. I can’t say how interesting the tap lineup was on my visit but the owner did mention they rotate regularly. He will also prepare small plates of food if hungry. A relaxed vibe here that made for an enjoyable visit.

It is a nice looking place with a standing area and 4? tables seating a dozen or so but for a higher price so when I went no one sat down to save money. Kind of weird. 6 taps: yokohama bay brewing, Minoh, KBC, Oni Densetsu, Shonan Beer, etc.  8 taps but just 6 were on and they were fairly standard craft options. Beers are 700¥ for 250ml but all are 5-600¥ for 150ml, larger sizes were available but I don’t recall the price.

Nice enough place. Selection was a little boring on the day I visited, but have heard it is usually interesting. Maybe a touch more expensive than other places around it, but standing discount helps. Guess it’s not a must visit place, but if you have been to all the regular stops this would make a nice change. Beer served in three sizes so you can tick a few things if that’s your bag.

Cute little cafe near Sakuragicho station. 8 japanese micros on tap, short but interesting selection (including Oni Densetsu, Atsugi, AJB...), served in 3 sizes. Prices are quite high but you get a discount if standing at the counter. They also serve a few tasty gourmet blend coffees. Various snacks also available. Friendly service, nice addition to the always exciting Yokohama scene.
